This is the first exam for students of the 2018 general education program, but there is also a separate set of questions for candidates of the 2006 program (not yet graduated or admitted to university).

Candidates for the 2006 program take 4 exams: math, literature, English, and 1 combination exam (natural science or social science). Candidates for the 2018 program take 4 exams: math, literature, and 2 optional exams from physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, history, geography, economics , law, and foreign languages.

Schedule:

Graduation consideration: no later than July 18.

Announcement of results: no later than July 20.

Send certificate of results: no later than July 22.

Appeal: receive applications from July 16 to July 25, complete no later than August 3.

In 2025, there will be 1,165,289 candidates taking the exam, an increase of 93,894 compared to 2024; of which 97.71% will follow the 2018 program, 2.29% will follow the 2006 program.
