The project “Application of telemedicine to enhance access to health services for vulnerable groups in Vietnam” was implemented from November 2024, by the Ministry of Health in coordination with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Korea International Health Care Organization (KOFIH), with non-refundable aid funding.
In the province, there are currently 50 commune health stations selected to participate in the Project.

At the training course, the trainees were instructed by the core technical team of Lao Cai Provincial Department of Health on how to use the software's features, such as: booking and processing appointments, diagnosis, prescription, consultation, online meetings, user management, etc.
In addition, students are also introduced to the legal basis and current remote medical examination and treatment system.

The training course contributes to improving the capacity of grassroots health workers, increasing access to health services for people, especially in remote areas. Thereby, helping to save costs, reduce travel time, reduce the burden on upper-level hospitals and improve the effectiveness of health care for the people.
