Reporting at the meeting, Director of the Department of Finance Truong Van Liep said: After the merger of Tay Ninh and Long An provinces from July 1, 2025, the economic scale of Tay Ninh province will rank 10th in the country, with the economic structure shifting towards industrialization and modernization. In the first 9 months of 2025, GRDP increased by 9.52%, the highest level in the period 2021-2025, ranking first in the Southeast region and ranking 8th out of 34 localities nationwide. Agriculture maintained stable growth, with rice output estimated at over 3.5 million tons, of which nearly 70% is high-quality rice.

The industry has recovered strongly with the production index increasing by nearly 15%. The province has attracted 3,816 newly established enterprises, up 52% over the same period; newly granted 141 domestic projects and 163 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 832 million USD. Many large-scale industrial and commercial projects with high technology content are being implemented, creating a foundation to promote growth. Total state budget revenue as of November 20 reached over 46,274 billion VND, exceeding 24% of the central government's estimate; domestic revenue increased by 35.2%. Disbursement of public investment capital reached over 70% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister .

Key projects such as Tan An City Ring Road, access roads to three bridges on DT.827E route, urban beautification projects, and dynamic axis roads are being implemented on schedule. DT.823D project has completed 61% of the volume and is expected to be completed in 2025. The component project of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 section passing through the area is expected to be technically opened to traffic on December 19, 2025; the province is also urgently preparing procedures for site clearance for Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project according to Resolution 297/NQ-CP.

Regarding social housing development, the province has planned 79 land plots with a scale of nearly 600 hectares, approved investment in 32 projects; to date, 11 projects have been completed with more than 4,300 apartments for workers and low-income people. In 2025, the province plans to implement 7 more projects with more than 6,700 apartments. The disbursement rate of national target programs reached 72.51%; the socio-economic development program for ethnic minority and mountainous areas reached 100% of the plan.
At the working session, Tay Ninh province proposed that the Government consider providing capital support to implement six anti-erosion projects on major rivers and canals; promptly approve national target programs for the 2026-2030 period; and recommend shortening the time for approving adjustments to public investment capital to ensure disbursement progress.

Concluding the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh acknowledged and highly appreciated Tay Ninh province's efforts in implementing socio-economic development tasks after the administrative unit merger; at the same time, he praised the province for maintaining high growth, improving the investment environment and promoting synchronous infrastructure construction. The Deputy Prime Minister asked the province to continue to maintain the double-digit growth target by 2025; focus on accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital and completing on schedule key regional connectivity projects, especially the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway, belt routes and strategic traffic axes.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need for the province to focus on developing high-tech and clean industries, increasing the proportion of high value-added manufacturing industries. The province needs to proactively attract capable investors, link industrial development with green economy, circular economy, encourage the application of energy-saving and emission-reducing technologies; focus resources on attracting investment in industrial zones and clusters, ensure clean land funds and synchronous infrastructure, creating new attraction for the investment environment. At the same time, he suggested the province continue to promote the social housing development program, creating conditions for workers and laborers to settle down.
The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Government will consider and resolve the recommendations of Tay Ninh province and continue to accompany the province to develop rapidly and sustainably; playing a strategic connecting role between the Southeast region and the Mekong Delta./.
