At the reception, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung expressed his pleasure to visit Ningbo city, Zhejiang province, a most important economic , trade and maritime transport center in the eastern coastal region, a model of reform, opening up and high-quality development in China.
Affirming the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future with strategic significance, strong, positive, comprehensive changes and the special significance of the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister wished to increase exchanges and learn from China's experiences in promoting private economic development, developing free trade zones, and breakthrough reform and opening-up policies of China in general, Zhejiang province as well as Ningbo city in particular.

Expressing his honor to welcome the delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung to visit Ningbo city, Comrade Thang Phi Pham emphasized that the Party Committee and government of Ningbo city highly value the relationship with Vietnam; at the same time, he was happy to share the positive results in the cooperative relationship with Vietnam in trade and investment as well as the cooperative relationship with localities, especially Hai Phong city and the establishment of a direct flight with Ho Chi Minh City.
"The Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership will continue to develop even more strongly, especially in international trade cooperation and industrial development in the coming period," the Mayor of Ningbo City said confidently, emphasizing the exemplary role of the Ningbo FTZ in pioneering the pilot construction and implementation of China's free trade zone development policy.

Previously, the Deputy Prime Minister visited and worked at the Ningbo Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in Zhejiang province. The Ningbo FTZ is strategically located in eastern China, serving as one of the most important international trade gateways in the country. The Ningbo FTZ is built according to a complex model, including many sub-zones with diverse and highly complementary functions such as logistics, e-commerce, maritime transport, high technology (including semiconductor manufacturing zones)...
Officially opened in August 2020 with an area of 46 square kilometers in Beilun District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, Ningbo FTZ is an axis connecting more than 300 shipping routes and 600 seaports in the world, gathering 1,047 enterprises, operating in 32 major industries. In 2024, Ningbo FTZ was recognized as a national model of innovative areas.
Within the framework of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung's working visit to China, the delegation also had working sessions with the Development and Reform Commission, the Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, and visited Alibaba Group and Dai Hoa Group./.
