The most fully functional fire protection laboratory comes into operation in Ho Chi Minh City

After more than 16 months of construction in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology), Vietnamtest Fire Prevention and Fighting Laboratory has officially come into operation at 205 Binh Trung, Cat Lai Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City. This is the third Fire Prevention and Fighting Laboratory in Vietnam with the most complete functions in this field.

Vietnamtest Fire Prevention and Fighting Laboratory is invested by Vietnam Certification and Testing Joint Stock Company (Vietnamtest) to test and inspect fire prevention and fighting equipment to ensure compliance with current safety standards. This laboratory meets ISO 17025 standards, with 41 processes and 500 tests, licensed by the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department (C07) for the profession of consulting, testing and technical inspection of fire prevention and fighting.

Testing fire extinguishing equipment at Vietnamtest Fire Prevention and Fighting Laboratory

Colonel Phan Manh Ha, Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Department of C07, said: "Implementing the policy of socialization in fire prevention and control inspection, we commend Vietnamtest for boldly investing in a field that very few units in Vietnam can do at present."

Two fire protection equipment manufacturers, Fico Manufacturing Joint Stock Company and Fire Front Vietnam Joint Stock Company, have signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Vietnamtest. Mr. Nguyen Dich Nam, General Director of Fico Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, said that Vietnamtest's acquisition of a fire protection laboratory will help fire protection equipment manufacturers have more reliable options to test their products to meet quality standards before launching them on the market.

Currently, Vietnamtest Fire Prevention and Fighting Laboratory will provide technical consultation and inspection on fire prevention and fighting for 9 product groups, including: Fire hoses, hand-held water sprayers, hand-held foam sprayers, fire-fighting connectors; Portable fire extinguishers and wheeled fire extinguishers; Fire-extinguishing powders, water-based fire-extinguishing agents; Fire alarm system equipment including: fire alarm control panel; smoke detectors of... type; Gas fire-extinguishing system equipment; Water fire-extinguishing system equipment; Exit indicator lights; Emergency lighting; Fixed centrifugal fire-fighting pumps using electric motors; Hand-held centrifugal fire-fighting pumps using internal combustion engines...
