Launching the Global Data Professionals Network in Hue

On October 16, in Hue city, the National Data Association coordinated with the Hue City People's Committee to announce the Global Data Experts Network (VDEN). This is an initiative that brings together Vietnamese experts at home and abroad to promote the development of the data economy and national digital transformation.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Cuong, Director of the National Data Center, Vice President of the National Data Association; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, along with representatives of ministries, branches, businesses and international experts.

According to the National Data Association, VDEN was established in the context of data becoming a strategic resource, playing a key role in digital economic development. The network operates according to five principles: voluntary-cooperation; transparency-responsibility; science, quality; security-respect for privacy; and global connection-promoting Vietnamese identity.

Up to now, the Network has had the commitment of nearly 80 experts from many countries around the world such as Korea, USA, Japan, Canada, Australia...

Within the framework of the event, the Organizing Committee awarded key personnel decisions and signed cooperation agreements between the People's Committee of Hue City, the National Data Association and the Vietnam Association of Information Technology.

On the same day, the seminar “Promoting Vietnam’s Data Economy” took place with four discussion sessions on artificial intelligence applications, data infrastructure and markets, human resources and investment policies. A technology exhibition space was also arranged for startups to introduce their products and connect with experts and investors.

The launch of VDEN is expected to create a long-term cooperation platform, contributing to making Vietnam a strong country in data and innovation in the digital era.
