Songwriting contest about culture, sports and tourism

On October 16, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 3651/QD-BVHTTDL on organizing the launching of a songwriting contest on the culture, sports and tourism sector. The Ministry assigned the Department of Performing Arts to preside over and coordinate with the Vietnam Musicians Association and relevant agencies and units to implement.

The launching ceremony of the competition is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2025 in Hanoi. This is a meaningful activity within the 2025 work plan of the Department of Performing Arts, aiming to encourage and honor musical compositions praising the tradition, spirit of dedication, and pride of the team of people working in culture, sports and tourism across the country.

The contest aims to find emotional and easily spread songs that vividly reflect the role of the culture, sports and tourism sector in building Vietnamese people in the new era, while contributing to fostering love for the profession, dedication and creative aspirations in the team of cadres, artists, athletes, tour guides and those who are working day and night for the development of national culture.

Through the entries, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes to build more sources of quality artworks, serving propaganda, encouraging patriotic emulation movements, and spreading the image of the culture, sports and tourism sector.

The competition is not only an opportunity to honor art and artists, but also a journey to inspire and connect love for the country through music, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of society, adding strength to the cause of developing Vietnamese culture, sports and tourism in a sustainable, humane, modern and imbued with national identity.
