Lam Dong: Putting into operation a centralized network security and safety monitoring center

On the afternoon of October 16, Lam Dong province launched and put into operation the Centralized Cyber ​​Security and Safety Monitoring Center (SOC).

The Lam Dong Province Centralized Network Security and Safety Monitoring Center system is organized by Lam Dong Provincial Police to manage, operate, and monitor network information security for shared information systems and information systems of State agencies in the area, to ensure security and safety for information systems.

According to Major General Truong Minh Duong, Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police, the operation of the SOC Center is an important step forward in ensuring local network safety and security. The Center will proactively monitor, detect and provide early warnings of risks and incidents of network security, information security, protect the province's information technology infrastructure and shared data, data of agencies, businesses and people.

Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi presented the decision to appoint Lam Dong Provincial Police as the specialized unit on network security of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee.

“After reorganizing the two-level local government model, Lam Dong needs a synchronous, centralized, strategic solution to promptly detect, warn and respond to increasingly sophisticated and complex cyber security threats. This is not just a technical center, but a command “brain”, a warning “heart” and a “steel shield” to comprehensively protect the vital information infrastructure of the Party, government, businesses and people in Lam Dong province”, said Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Muoi.
