Nearly 350 people working in communications and press spokes received training in applying artificial intelligence.

On the morning of October 17, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) of the province held a conference on improving the capacity to apply artificial intelligence (AI) in propaganda work, foreign information and speaking skills, providing information to the press by 2025.

Attending the conference were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors and nearly 350 delegates who were communication officers, spokespeople of departments, branches and People's Committees at commune and ward levels.

At the conference, delegates were informed by lecturers from the Academy of Journalism and Communication about three topics: Skills in applying information technology and improving the capacity to apply AI in foreign information work and propaganda of the Party's policies and the State's laws; the importance of foreign information work and policy communication work in the current period.

Speaking and providing information to the press, communicating with the press; skills and experience in contacting, speaking and providing information to the press. Handling media crises, the role of the press and media in handling crises; ways to handle and resolve media crises.

According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in recent times, Dak Lak province has always paid attention to directing the effective implementation of foreign information work. The plans issued every year are close to reality, promoting the coordination role between agencies and units; at the same time, strengthening cooperation with central and local press agencies to promote the image of "Dak Lak - Destination of identity and potential" contributing to attracting investment, developing tourism , cultural exchange and enhancing the position of the province in the region and internationally.

In addition, the work of speaking and providing information to the press has also received increasing attention, contributing to creating social consensus, spreading positive images of the locality, and helping people better understand the policies of the Party and State.

However, in reality, this work still has certain limitations such as: Some units are not proactive in providing information; coordination in handling sensitive issues is still slow; especially the application of digital technology and AI in propaganda and handling media crises has not been fully exploited.

Accordingly, this is an opportunity for the team of communication staff, spokespersons of departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees at commune and ward levels after the new organizational arrangement to update their knowledge, raise awareness in foreign information work and skills in speaking, providing information to the press, skills in applying digital platforms in foreign affairs work and skills in handling media crises.
