Vinh Long has 4,650 female cadres, civil servants and public employees.

The meeting was an opportunity to review the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women, honor the silent but great contributions of generations of women to the cause of fighting for national independence, building happy families and developing the homeland and country. This was also an opportunity to recognize the results of the special emulation movement launched by the Provincial Party Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Lau praised the outstanding results that the Women's Union at all levels in the province have achieved in recent times. The unions at all levels have actively participated in Party building, building a clean and strong political system; proactively advised and proposed to improve laws and policies related to women, family, children and gender equality; and at the same time performed well the functions of social supervision and criticism.

Currently, the whole province has 4,650 female cadres, civil servants and public employees in the political system from the provincial to grassroots levels, accounting for 35.4% of the total number of cadres. Of which, 25/31 provincial agencies and units have female cadres participating in leadership. The work of developing female party members continues to receive attention, and the Party Committees at all levels have introduced many outstanding female cadres for the Party to consider admitting. In the period of 2021 - 2025, the whole province has developed 1,975 female party members, accounting for 63.3% of the total number of newly admitted party members.

Responding to the “Dong Khoi movement to start and develop businesses”, women in Vinh Long have promoted their dynamic, creative and pioneering spirit in starting a business. The whole province currently has thousands of household economic models, nearly 1,650 collective economic models and nearly 100 cooperatives owned by women. Women’s associations at all levels have mobilized tens of billions of VND to support women in starting businesses, developing the economy, creating jobs, improving income and family life.

In addition, Vinh Long women are also active in cultural - social movements, sports and community tourism. Many practical movements have been widely deployed, such as "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" associated with new rural construction; the model of "5 yes, 3 clean" associated with civilized urban areas; folk dance and mass sports movements are maintained vigorously.

At the meeting, the Ben Tre Mutual Aid Association in Ho Chi Minh City and other organizations and individuals donated 271 million VND to repair the road leading to the house of General Nguyen Thi Dinh (Luong Hoa commune). The sponsors also presented a symbolic plaque to accompany the Women's Union of Vinh Long province in social security work in 2025, with a total amount of more than 7.5 billion VND.

On this occasion, the Women's Union of Vinh Long province awarded the "For the Development of Vietnamese Women" Medal to 104 women, and commended and rewarded 6 collectives and 13 individuals with outstanding achievements in the union's work and the provincial women's movement in 2025.
