Hanoi Radio and Television reporter assaulted while working

The incident occurred at 2:25 p.m. on June 6, when a group of reporters from Hanoi Radio and Television Station were preparing to deploy their cameras to record the sale of rechargeable fans on the sidewalk in front of the electric fan store at 19 Dong Cac, O Cho Dua area, Dong Da district, when a subject rushed out, shouted loudly, grabbed the collar and knocked down the TTC cameraman of Hanoi Radio and Television Station.

Not stopping there, immediately after that, another person from a nearby store joined in the assault. Even when someone intervened and the TTC reporter was lying on the street, the two subjects continued to aggressively punch and kick the reporter. Even when the reporter was taken to the station's car by his colleagues, the two subjects still followed the car and threatened him.

Immediately after the incident, reporters reported it to the police and took Mr. TTC to the hospital for emergency treatment due to multiple injuries.

Hanoi Radio and Television Station has requested that the authorities verify and clarify the incident and strictly handle the hooliganism and disregard for the law of those who assaulted the journalists, and take necessary measures to protect journalists while they are working in accordance with the law.
