On June 23, within the framework of the state visit of President Yoon Suk Yeol of the Republic of Korea, the wife of President Vo Van Thuong, Mrs. Phan Thi Thanh Tam, and the wife of President Yoon Suk Yeol of the Republic of Korea, Mrs. Kim Keon-hee, enjoyed tea, watched the Ao Dai performance and traditional music performance.
The Office of the President of the Republic of Korea said that at the tea party, Mrs. Phan Thi Thanh Tam and Mrs. Kim Keon-hee both wore traditional ao dai. The ao dai that Mrs. Kim Keon-hee wore was a gift from the wifeof President Vo Van Thuong.
Mrs. Kim Keon-hee expressed her interest in this ao dai and shared that wearing ao dai is a symbol of the strong friendship between Korea and Vietnam. Mrs. Kim Keon-hee also introduced the President's wife to hanbok - the traditional costume of Korea.
In a warm and intimate atmosphere, listening to traditional music, the two ladies enjoyed lotus tea and watched the Ao Dai performance. The solo flute pieces Giac Mo Nau and the ensemble Korean song Arirang ; the solo erhu Sarang hu ro and the ensemble Beo Dat May Troi , Toi Yeu Seoul, Nguoi O Nguoi O Dung Ve were performed during the tea party.
Ms. Kim Keon-hee said that she had a meaningful time with Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Tam enjoying and learning about the culture and art of the two countries; from there, she could vividly feel the friendship between the two countries.
