Enhancing digital skills for women in Hanoi.

In her opening remarks at the seminar, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and President of the Hanoi Women's Union, Le Kim Anh, emphasized that the Party and State have identified science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key drivers for rapid and sustainable national development in the new era.
In the context of the rapidly unfolding Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital transformation is no longer a trend but has become an essential requirement for all industries, sectors, and segments of the population. As the capital city, Hanoi is proactively creating and leading a new development model to realize the goals of the Politburo 's Resolution on building and developing the capital in the new era.

“To realize those grand goals, the role and active, creative participation of women in Hanoi – a force that accounts for more than half of the population and is present in every aspect of social life – are indispensable,” affirmed Ms. Le Kim Anh. Therefore, this conference is a practical activity to concretize the directives and put the resolutions and instructions of the Politburo, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, and the Hanoi City Party Committee on digital transformation into a practical and vibrant action program.
The Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union also stated that digital transformation is an urgent requirement for all levels of the Union to innovate their working methods, improve management and operational efficiency, and enhance interaction with members. In recent times, Hanoi Women's Unions at all levels have actively applied digital technology in member management, promoted communication, supported women's entrepreneurship, developed e-commerce, and promoted OCOP products and traditional craft villages. In particular, the "Digital Literacy Movement" has received widespread support, helping members improve their digital skills and confidently adapt to new development requirements. However, alongside the achievements, the digital transformation process still faces many difficulties and challenges…

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology, delivered a presentation on the topic "Applying science and technology and digital transformation to contribute to building a smart and modern city," providing an overview of the capital's digital governance and its direct impact on the organization.
