Developing tourism along the East-West axis
According to the project, in the development space axes, the East-West axis is identified as the axis connecting Phu Yen with the Central Highlands provinces through traffic routes such as National Highway 29 (proposed to be upgraded to an expressway), 19, 25, DT643, DT645...
This spatial axis prioritizes developing tourism with ethnic cultures, exploiting natural landscapes, mountain tourism potential, rural agricultural tourism, and community tourism.
Focus on exploiting large reservoirs, waterfall systems, streams, hot mineral water sources and valuable historical and cultural relics; build Van Hoa plateau into a tourist urban area, a resort center of Phu Yen and the region; build a number of cultural tourist villages (Le Diem, Xi Thoai...).
At the same time, when the highway connecting Nam Phu Yen economic zone with Buon Ma Thuot city (Dak Lak) is formed, it will expand the tourism space, connecting Phu Yen sea area with the Central Highlands.
In addition, the project also identifies the central tourist space including Tuy Hoa city and some neighboring spaces in Dong Hoa town, Phu Hoa and Tuy An districts.
The island resort tourism area includes Song Cau town and part of Tuy An district.
The Northwest mountainous tourism area includes Van Hoa plateau and surrounding areas in Son Hoa, Dong Xuan and Tuy An districts.
The southwestern mountainous tourist area includes Song Hinh district and the surrounding areas of Son Hoa, Tay Hoa and Phu Hoa districts.
For the southwestern mountainous tourism space, where there is a national highway connecting to the Central Highlands, the main tourist center is Hai Rieng town associated with Song Hinh hydroelectric lake. The supporting area is Cung Son town center, Suoi Bun lake... associated with Krong Trai Nature Reserve, Ba Ha river hydroelectric lake...
Tourism activities in this area are complementary to the province's commercial, business and island resort tourism products.
Tourism is closely linked to ethnic cultures, forming connecting routes between the coastal areas and the Central Highlands provinces, strongly developing types of eco-tourism, agricultural tourism, craft village tourism, community cultural tourism, etc.
Build some cultural tourism villages of ethnic minorities to attract tourists (villages in Song Hinh district...). Develop Dong Cam dam festival in Phu Hoa district, create motivation to attract tourists, provide souvenir products for tourists...

The product group "Phu Yen - Land of natural heritage and stone culture" associated with Phu Yen Geopark, becomes a unique tourism product of national and regional significance.
The group of eco-tourism and mountain lake resorts has become a typical product of the province and the South Central Coast region.
In addition, focus on developing 4 main product lines: sea and island tourism, culture, agriculture - rural areas, ecology...
