Inspection of the Tactical Fuel Depot of Coast Guard Region 4

During a follow-up inspection at the 2024 tactical fuel depot of the entire army at the Command Headquarters of Coast Guard Region 4 on the morning of June 10th, Colonel Pham Minh Nhat, Deputy Director of the Fuel Department, General Department of Logistics, assessed that the unit had thoroughly understood and strictly complied with directives, plans, regulations, and guidelines; demonstrated a sense of responsibility, proactiveness, and creativity among officers and staff during the inspection; and implemented appropriate and principled plans and measures to handle the situation, ensuring absolute safety.

Colonel Pham Minh Nhat, Deputy Director of the Petroleum Department, General Department of Logistics, delivered a directive speech at the working session with the Command of Coast Guard Region 4.

The fuel depot of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command was started, completed, and put into operation in 2017, with a capacity of 4,030 m3. Over the years, the Party Committee and the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 have focused on leading and directing the effective management and improvement of the quality of fuel depots; strictly maintaining the regular procedures and discipline of the industry; preserving, maintaining, and storing technical equipment and materials in the depots according to regulations, preventing loss, waste, or deterioration due to subjective errors. The facilities within the depots are always synchronized, appropriately arranged, and fully equipped with fire prevention and firefighting equipment and safety measures.

The inspection team checked the layout and arrangement at the fuel depot.

During the inspection at the Command of Coast Guard Region 4, the delegation focused on the following areas: the leadership and guidance of Party committees and commanders at all levels regarding fuel depot management, linked to the successful implementation of the "Safe, Economical, and Efficient Fuel Management and Use" emulation movement; the planning of depots, barracks, fuel storage areas, pumping stations, and distribution stations of the unit; regular discipline, practicing thrift, preventing loss and waste, and ensuring safety in the sector; checking the awareness and practical skills of officers and staff in depot operations and handling fire and explosion prevention situations, and protecting fuel depots according to regulations...

Following the inspection, Colonel Pham Minh Nhat highly appreciated the preparation and assurance work of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command. Looking ahead, Colonel Nhat requested that the Command continue to build upon the achievements and strengths already attained; quickly address and overcome any remaining shortcomings to further develop the unit's fuel depots into increasingly standardized and modern facilities, effectively meeting the requirements and tasks of firmly protecting sovereignty , maintaining security and order, and ensuring safety in the southwestern seas, islands, and continental shelf of the Fatherland.
