Throughout history, Ward 9 was separated from the steadfast Binh Kien land in 2003. And throughout that history, the villages and hamlets of Ward 9 today are the bases that shelter cadres and the provisional Provincial Party Committee, the cradle of the August Revolution that successfully seized power in Phu Yen in the past.
Phuoc Hau village base
On October 20, 1935, in the pine forest of Phuoc Hau village (now in Phuoc Hau 2 quarter, ward 9, Tuy Hoa city), comrade Tran Hao held a ceremony to establish the Indochinese Communist Party cell of Phuoc Hau village, including 4 comrades: Tran Hao, Nguyen Chan, Nguyen Quoc Thoai, Do Tuong, with comrade Tran Hao and more than a month later, comrade Nguyen Quoc Thoai as cell secretary.
In November 1935, comrade Tran Hao directed the establishment of a provisional Provincial Party Committee (with 7 comrades) at Thu Ky mound, Phuoc Hau village, with him as the Provincial Party Committee Secretary. The provisional Provincial Party Committee used Phuoc Hau village as a base to hold the Provincial Party Congress. In June 1936, the first Provincial Party Congress met in the pine forest of Phuoc Hau village under the chairmanship of Provincial Party Committee Secretary Tran Hao and elected the first official Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee in Phu Yen, recognized by the Central Region Party Committee. The Provincial Party Committee headquarters was located at the house of comrade Nguyen Quoc Thoai, Phuoc Hau village (now in Phuoc Hau 1 quarter, ward 9).
After that, the Provincial Party Committee elected comrade Huynh Nuu and the Provincial Party Committee headquarters was located at comrade Huynh Nuu's house during the years 1938-1939, when he was elected Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
The Phuoc Hau village Party cell continued to grow, recruiting many loyal comrades to join its ranks. The revolutionary spirit of the people in Phuoc Hau, Lien Tri during the period of 1935-1939 was very vibrant. This was the cradle and nucleus to lead the revolutionary movement in the August Revolution to seize power in Phu Yen.
At the end of March 1945, the delegation sent by comrade Truong Kiem as head of the delegation, along with comrades Le Cap, Doan So, Hoang Van Phuc, returned to lead the uprising, contact party members and party organizations, and met at comrade Nguyen Quoc Thoai's house. In April 1945, under the leadership of comrade Le Cap, the Tuy Hoa Forestry Viet Minh Committee was established. On July 17, 1945, the congress to establish the provincial Viet Minh met at comrade Nguyen Quoc Thoai's house. The self-defense comrades of Phuoc Hau village took care of the protection and contributed to the success of this congress.
The pre-uprising days were great festivals for the people of Ward 9. On August 18, 1945, the Central Uprising Committee ordered a general uprising.
On August 23, 1945, the Provincial Uprising Committee led by comrade Truong Kiem successfully organized an uprising to seize power in Song Cau provincial capital.
On August 25, 1945, the Tuy Hoa Uprising Committee, including comrades Nguyen Quoc Thoai, Le Tan Thang, Do Tuong, Nguyen Thanh Huong, and Pham Trong Tuyen, organized to seize power in Tuy Hoa.
The Tuy Hoa uprising was a great success, the Tuy Hoa People's Revolutionary Committee was established. Comrade Huynh Nuu, Chairman of the Vietnam Front in Tuy Hoa, and comrade Nguyen Quoc Thoai held a meeting in Phuoc Hau to report on the successful uprising in Tuy Hoa.
In a report sent to the Central Party History Research Committee in 1991, comrade Truong Kiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, wrote: "Phuoc Hau was the place with the best Party base and revolutionary movement in the pre-uprising period."
Continuing to promote the revolutionary spirit, the Party Cell of Phuoc Hau village together with all the people built a government to prepare for a long-term resistance war, and won glorious victory in the resistance war against the US to save the country.
The epic homeland in Phuoc Hau village
Phuoc Hau is also the place that provided the revolutionary hero with inspiration for poet - soldier Tran Vu Mai to compose the epic poem In Phuoc Hau village , one of the famous epic poems of liberation poetry during the anti-American war.
Tran Vu Mai - poet - soldier admitted to the Party in 1969, a member of the Ho Chi Minh Party who volunteered to go to the South to fight and stay for a long time at the Chop Chai base, Bat Cave, Khanh Son Pagoda, Xom Hoc, and secret bunkers on the edge of Phuoc Hau village. The fierceness of the war, the height and depth of the people's strength and hearts, and the noble sacrifice of the revolutionary masses in the base area were endless sources of inspiration for the poet. The long poem In Phuoc Hau village not only talks about Phuoc Hau village but also deeply generalizes the heroic fight of the army and people of Phu Yen and the whole South through a specific Phuoc Hau village.
Mr. Tran Vu Mai's real name is Vu Xuan Mai, born in 1944, in Ha Trung, Thanh Hoa province. He is a former student of the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi University of Science, a member of the Vietnam Writers Association, and has many poems and prose published in newspapers in the central and Phu Khanh provinces. Main works: Long poem In Phuoc Hau village (1978); Long poem The Lac bird (1991); Collection of long poems, prose and poetry (1995). He died in 1991 in Hanoi.
In April 1971, the Southern battlefield beckoned. Following the sacred call of the Fatherland, Mr. Tran Vu Mai went to fight, working at the Liberation Arts Association of Zone 5. A poet and soldier with a strong personality in composing and penetrating reality, Tran Vu Mai infiltrated all the battlefields and gave birth to the long poem In Phuoc Hau Village .
Right in chapter 1 of the epic poem In Phuoc Hau village , poet Tran Vu Mai generalized the village and its loyal, selfless people:
How many people died?
in the seventies
Remember
those who sacrificed in february, march, or october 69
very naturally they turned into bridges
give us back to the south
one thousand nine hundred and seventy one
…One more bridge
take us all the way to Tuy Hoa
Phuoc Hau night, crawling through rice fields
hear a yawn
security guard name...
And the poet portrays the heroic mother of Phuoc Hau village, which is also the image of heroic and indomitable Vietnamese Mothers:
…One morning
Mom opened the gate
unexpectedly
they tie themselves
into the crossbar…
Yes if mother is alive
mother will open her hand and cover
mouth
because mother does not like compliments
but today mother is no longer
and I said
like the old days when I whispered to my mother
world talk
our country story
reasons we go to war
reasons why we are not afraid of death,
then tomorrow morning go to the field, go to the market
mother said it was a rice pot story,
onion
with penetrating metaphors
and obvious
betel leaf tears of joy
wet eyes
same amount
inside…
Also in the heroic epic poem In Phuoc Hau village, the ending lines are extremely romantic and revolutionary with a bright and confident future:
Oh wind of good news of renewal
With love, hello today...
