Ben Thanh Ward: Dialogue with businesses, commitment to accompany and remove obstacles

(HTV) - On the afternoon of August 15, the People's Committee of Ben Thanh Ward, District 1 held a conference to directly dialogue with the business community and business households in the area. With the message "Listen to understand - Accompany to develop", the ward government committed to creating a favorable and transparent business environment.

As the central ward of Ho Chi Minh City, Ben Thanh has many advantages for developing trade, services and tourism . This is also the place where more than 6,100 enterprises and 6,900 business households gather. Recognizing the important role of the business community, the conference was held to create an open forum where the government can directly listen to difficulties and problems to provide timely support solutions.

Many practical issues have been raised by businesses and business households, focusing on areas such as: procedures for granting business licenses, food safety and hygiene, work permits for foreigners, labor relations, social insurance, tax obligations, security and order assurance, and fire prevention and fighting.

Ms. Truong Thi Tuyet Trinh, a trader at Ben Thanh Market, expressed her concerns about the difficulties in implementing tax declaration regulations for small businesses and asked the ward to have solutions to support and simplify procedures. Meanwhile, Ms. Khuong Phung Cam Phuong, representative of Quoc Thanh Restaurant - Service - Tourism Company Limited (LACASA), raised the issue of the development orientation of Bui Vien Street, wishing to know more about the ward's plan and policies to support businesses in this area.

At the conference, leaders of Ben Thanh Ward People's Committee, representatives of Social Insurance Agency and Market Management Force No. 4 directly answered each issue and noted the proposals. The ward government committed to taking specific measures to resolve the issue as soon as possible, while laying the foundation for a more regular dialogue mechanism in the future.
