Dinh Cong Ward: Rename 30 groups, keep the names of 39 residential groups

HNP - On the morning of July 31, the People's Council of Dinh Cong ward, term I, 2021-2026, held the second session to consider and decide on issues under its authority.

At the meeting, the People's Council of Dinh Cong ward considered and unanimously approved 3 important resolutions including: Resolution on renaming residential groups in Dinh Cong ward when implementing 2-level local government after adjusting administrative boundaries; Resolution on promulgating the Working Regulations of the People's Council, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Council Committees, the People's Council Delegation Groups and People's Council Delegates of Dinh Cong ward for the 2021-2026 term; Resolution on promulgating the Internal Rules of the meeting of the People's Council of Dinh Cong ward for the 2021-2026 term.

Specifically, regarding the renaming of residential groups in Dinh Cong ward when implementing 2-level local government after adjusting administrative boundaries, the People's Committee of Dinh Cong ward issued a plan to rename 30 residential groups due to duplicate names in the ward (including 3 residential groups of the old Thinh Liet ward and 27 groups of the old Dai Kim ward).

The renaming is carried out according to the following principles: Rename in consecutive order, starting from Residential Group No. 1 to Residential Group No. 69 throughout the ward; keep the names of 39 non-duplicated residential groups to ensure stability; rename 30 residential groups with duplicate names in consecutive order, ensuring consistency and avoiding confusion.

Previously, in mid-July, the People's Committee of Dinh Cong Ward organized a consultation with voters representing households on the plan to change the name of residential groups. The results of the consultation: 100% of the residential groups whose opinions were consulted achieved over 50% (of which, 20/30 residential groups had a 100% voter approval rate; 10/30 residential groups had an approval rate from 91.33% to 99.77%).

Speaking at the closing session, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Dinh Cong Ward Nguyen Quang Trung emphasized that the session had passed three important resolutions. These are the basis and basic conditions to concretize the policies and directions of the Central Government, the City and the Ward Party Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Trung suggested that, immediately after this meeting, the Ward People's Committee and specialized departments and units under the ward continue to have high political determination, high concentration, organize urgent, drastic, synchronous and effective implementation of the Resolutions of the Ward People's Council. In particular, the Ward People's Committee and specialized departments proactively review and remove difficulties and obstacles arising in performing tasks. Promote propaganda and mobilize people to participate in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals set for 2025.

The Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Council Committees, the Delegation Groups and the People's Council delegates of the ward, based on the promulgated regulations, shall promote their roles and responsibilities in organization and operation; improve the quality of supervision, survey and voter contact activities; ensure that the activities of the People's Council of the ward take place democratically, in accordance with regulations, effectively and practically, meeting the requirements of innovation and improving the quality of activities of local elected bodies.

Along with that, the Standing Committee of the Ward People's Council organizes the dissemination, dissemination and guidance on the strict implementation of the meeting regulations, ensuring that the Ward People's Council meetings are conducted in accordance with the procedures and regulations, promoting democracy and collective intelligence, ensuring quality and efficiency, and truly being a forum for discussing important issues of the ward.

Since July 1, after the two-level local government came into operation, the reception and settlement of administrative procedures in the ward have improved in a fast, concise and convenient manner for the people.
