The Action Month will be implemented from November 15th to December 15th, 2025, with many meaningful activities aimed at promoting gender equality and preventing violence in the context of digital transformation.
Strengthen communication and reach a wider audience.

During the Action Month, Dong Da ward focused strongly on diverse and effective communication efforts. Messages about gender equality were disseminated through various channels: mass media, grassroots information systems, websites, and social networks. In particular, direct communication within residential communities was carried out flexibly, tailored to each target group.
Banners, billboards, posters, and propaganda slogans were displayed at agencies, units, main roads, industrial zones, and areas with large crowds, creating a vibrant atmosphere for the Action Month. Communication materials such as documents, leaflets, brochures, and short, easy-to-understand video clips were widely distributed, targeting various age groups.
Notably, the digitalization of communication is being promoted through social media platforms such as Facebook and Zalo to effectively reach young people, students, and university students – the most dynamic and active "digital citizens." Through these platforms, messages about gender equality, skills to prevent violence and risks in cyberspace are widely disseminated, contributing to empowering women and girls.
In addition, many interactive activities are organized, such as forums, dialogues, seminars, workshops, and training sessions on topics related to gender equality and violence prevention. Engaging competitions on this theme are also implemented, including legal knowledge contests, creative writing competitions, theatrical performances, competitions for outstanding communicators, and cultural and sports exchanges, creating beneficial playgrounds for the people.
Resources for the Action Month were actively mobilized from various sources, with a focus on socializing communication activities and supporting women and children in difficult circumstances, and victims of violence and abuse. Inspection, monitoring, and supervision of the implementation of policies and laws on gender equality in agencies and units were strengthened. Cases, complaints, and denunciations of gender-based violence were promptly verified, processed, and resolved.

To effectively implement this year's theme, the People's Committee of Dong Da Ward launched the 2025 Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention and Control of Gender-Based Violence on December 10th. Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Da Ward, Nguyen Trong Hai, called for the joint efforts of all levels, sectors, political and social organizations, units, schools, businesses, and the entire population.
"When everyone understands and supports each other, gender equality will no longer be a slogan, but will become a value of life, spreading throughout every family and every community," Mr. Hai emphasized.
The leaders of Dong Da ward suggested that the Education sector, the Youth Union, and the Women's Association should strengthen the dissemination and education of gender equality starting in schools, families, and online spaces. This will help the younger generation develop correct awareness, self-protection skills, and a sense of responsibility in building a safe and humane digital society. Every family, every citizen, especially men, should work together to eliminate gender stereotypes, respect, love, and share, and together build a safe, fair, civilized society free from gender-based violence.
Implementing various practical models

The Women's Union of Dong Da Ward plays a core role in concretizing the Action Month through many practical activities. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, Vice Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Dong Da Ward, the Women's Union of the ward responded to and concretized the Action Month with many meaningful activities. Activities promoting gender equality and preventing violence and abuse against women and children are linked to the emulation movement "Building the Hanoi woman: Loyal - Creative - Capable - Elegant" and the campaign "Hanoi women behaving beautifully".
With the motto "Listen to what women have to say, explain things to women so they understand, and act in a way that women can follow," the Women's Association of the ward always takes the initiative in implementing meaningful activities that are practical and suitable to the needs and aspirations of its members.
The Women's Association of the ward also builds and improves the quality of activities of models that empower women and girls, attracting the participation of men and influential figures in the community, family, and school. In addition, it coordinates with local associations to develop new models that contribute to building civilized and happy families, creating a safe and friendly social environment and living space for women and children.
In particular, the "Trusted Address in the Community" model has been effectively implemented through close coordination with functional forces, neighborhood committees, and social organizations. This model provides timely support to women and girls when they face difficulties, creating a safe information channel to receive, guide, and protect victims of violence.
The "Food Safety" movement has been widely promoted with many new models such as "Women Living Green," "Smart Consumers," "Civilized, Safe and Efficient Markets," and "Women Small Business Owners Saying No to Unsafe and Unverified Food." These activities have created a strong ripple effect, contributing to raising people's awareness and voluntarily changing their behavior in daily life.
The association also raises awareness of the role of the family in raising and educating children; equips women with knowledge of reproductive health care, childcare skills, and skills in caring for the elderly. The campaign "Building a family with 5 no's and 3 clean's" has been improved in quality through specific measures.

Environmental protection activities were also actively organized, such as environmental protection campaigns, campaigns to reduce the use of plastic bags, and saving water and electricity resources. 100% of women's branches and groups participated in the "Green Weekend" campaign with many practical initiatives.
Project 938 continues to be implemented effectively, supporting women in building "Prosperous - Equal - Progressive - Happy" families, preventing domestic violence, and combating trafficking of women and children. The Association supports the resolution of difficulties faced by specific groups of women, provides legal assistance, and coordinates efforts to effectively disseminate information and provide training on family matters and healthcare for women.
The Dong Da Ward Youth Union also plays an active role in building a safe and equal digital society. Deputy Secretary of the Dong Da Ward Youth Union, Le Thu Ha, emphasized: In the current context, women and girls are facing many challenges in cyberspace such as online harassment, cyberbullying, fraud, privacy violations, and increasingly sophisticated gender-based violence. These invisible barriers not only cause psychological and reputational harm but also hinder the participation and comprehensive development of women and girls in society.
Understanding this, young people – those born and raised in the digital age, the most dynamic "digital citizens" – actively utilize their strengths in technology and social media to spread messages about gender equality and skills in identifying and preventing risks in cyberspace. Youth union meetings, thematic seminars, and creative content competitions on "digital civilization" are organized to equip union members and young people in the area with knowledge, contributing to building Dong Da ward and Hanoi into a civilized, safe, and equal place for all, especially women and girls.

The 2025 Month of Action for Gender Equality and Prevention and Control of Gender-Based Violence is not just a communication campaign, but also an opportunity for the whole society to join hands in action, transforming gender equality from a slogan into a living value, spreading it in every family and every community.
When everyone understands and supports each other, eliminates gender stereotypes, and shows respect, love, and sharing, together we can build a safe, fair, civilized society free from gender-based violence – a society where everyone, especially women and girls, can develop fully and contribute their talents.
At the launching ceremony on December 10th, representatives from the Department of Internal Affairs organized a thematic communication activity focusing on "Gender equality and safety for women and girls in the digital age," raising awareness among delegates from Dong Da ward.
