Immediately after the flood, Yen Bien Secondary School proactively coordinated with the health sector to disinfect classrooms.

Accordingly, all students of all levels of preschool, primary and secondary school in the ward will be temporarily off from October 16 to October 19. During this time, the ward People's Committee will coordinate with the Ha Giang Regional Medical Center, medical stations and militia and self-defense forces to synchronously deploy measures to spray disinfectant, clean classrooms, kitchens, domestic water systems and school grounds.

The document stated: Some schools in the area recorded students showing symptoms of fever, vomiting, and diarrhea after the flood. To proactively prevent the risk of disease outbreaks, educational institutions are required to closely coordinate with the health sector in checking students' health, recording unusual cases, and completing disinfection work before 5 p.m. on October 17.

During the school break, staff will continue to work as usual to clean and prepare for the safety of students returning. Schools are also responsible for fully informing parents and avoiding the spread of inaccurate information on social networks.

The temporary suspension of school is a proactive measure to ensure the health of students after the flood. Students will return to school when the learning environment is absolutely safe. The People's Committee of Ha Giang 2 Ward will officially announce the time when students return to school after receiving the test results from the authorities.
