Lai Thieu Ward, HCMC: A series of projects need to overcome difficulties

On the morning of September 17, the working delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee led by Mr. Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, had a working session to listen to reports on difficulties and obstacles in implementing projects of Lai Thieu ward, after organizing a two-level local government.

Attending were leaders of wards: Lai Thieu, Thuan An, Thuan Giao, Binh Hoa, An Phu.

Reporting at the meeting, Chairman of Lai Thieu Ward People's Committee Pham Phu Nam said: In recent times, the locality has basically completed the decentralized tasks. However, many key projects in the area have encountered difficulties, affecting the implementation progress such as: The compensation and site clearance project for National Highway 13 through Thuan Giao, Binh Hoa and Lai Thieu wards.

Along with that are difficulties in compensation and site clearance for traffic projects: East-West axis road connecting District 12 (formerly) via Vinh Phu 10 Street to Thu Duc City (formerly), Saigon River road from National Highway 13 to Vinh Phu 40 Street, Saigon River road (section from Gia Long Street to Vinh Phu 40 Street), Saigon River road (section from Binh Nham canal to An Son port), Binh Nham Resettlement Area project and other projects.

Lai Thieu Ward also raised difficulties in the issue of relocating the power grid in the area with the 220kV Tan Son Nhat - Thuan An transmission line project. Although the locality has organized information announcements, mobilized people and coordinated with relevant parties, the determination of compensation scope, design documents, and support plans in the power grid safety corridor are still unclear, slowing down the progress of site clearance...

Lai Thieu Ward People's Committee requested Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and departments and branches to promptly remove difficulties, promptly approve the investment policy of Binh Nham Resettlement Area, allow the ward to be the investor in selecting the unit to prepare land price certificates for the riverside road project; adjust the power outage regulations to suit the reality to ensure the progress of grid relocation; complete the legal documents of the 220kV power line project and assign the Thuan An Regional Land Fund Development Center Branch to continue implementing the transitional projects.

In addition, Lai Thieu ward also proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issue unified regulations on compensation procedures, support and specific policies throughout the area to remove obstacles for current projects.

Comrade Bui Minh Thanh and the working delegation acknowledged the difficulties of Lai Thieu ward and neighboring wards.
