Tan Binh Ward, Di An City: People contribute to maintaining security and order at the grassroots level

Over the past years, the security and order situation in Tan Binh ward has always been maintained. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Yem, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee, Tan Binh Ward is a border area, attracting many people to do business and live. This is a favorable condition for economic and social development, but at the same time, it also has the potential risk of losing security and order. Therefore, the Party Committee and the Ward People's Committee always pay attention to and improve the Ward's Steering Committee 138, in which the police force plays a core role in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level.

Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Vinh Phuong, Chief of Tan Binh Ward Police, said that the local police force always proactively advises the Party Committee, the People's Committee of the ward and the entire political system to effectively implement plans on security and order protection. Especially during holidays and Tet, the ward police strengthen coordination with departments, organizations, civil defense forces, neighborhood protection forces, and militia and self-defense forces to regularly organize patrols and controls to promptly detect and quickly handle violations of the law and social evils.

In the past, Tan Binh Ward Police have built and organized 3 campaigns to attack and suppress crimes to maintain security and order. Through that, they discovered and filed 16 cases, 27 criminal offenders, and transferred them to Di An City Police to handle; coordinated with police units to arrest 7 wanted subjects. Tan Binh Ward Police also filed administrative fines for 30 subjects violating security and order, 7 subjects using drugs and sent them to rehabilitation centers; discovered and eliminated 5 gambling dens, arrested 22 subjects; inspected and discovered 25 cases of violations in the economic and environmental fields.

In launching the movement of All People Protecting National Security, Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Vinh Phuong said that the ward police have proactively developed a plan to coordinate with departments, organizations, and neighborhoods to organize propaganda and build a solid people's security posture. The local police regularly provide information on the methods and tricks of criminals so that the local people can increase their vigilance and participate in denouncing and supporting the capture of criminals.

Through the implementation of solutions, it is noted that the criminal situation in Tan Binh ward has decreased significantly in recent times. In 2022, Tan Binh ward police were awarded the title of "victorious unit" by the Provincial Police Director. We believe that with the high determination of the Party Committee, the government and the consensus and support of the people, it will contribute to maintaining security and order in the border area, protecting the peaceful life of the people.

Mr. Nguyen Van Yem, Chairman of Tan Binh Ward People's Committee, said that promoting the achievements, in the coming time, Steering Committee 138 of Tan Binh Ward will continue to implement many plans, build and consolidate models of the masses participating with the police force and local authorities in crime prevention and control, actively reporting crimes, thereby contributing to maintaining security and order in the ward.
