(GLO)- Since the beginning of the year, the Red Cross Society of Pleiku city at all levels has mobilized and called on agencies, units, organizations and individuals to donate to support humanitarian activities, reaching over 2,867 billion VND, helping 6,274 people.

Specifically, implementing the "Humanitarian Tet" program for the Spring of the Cat Year 2023, the Association at all levels mobilized benefactors and philanthropists to contribute 4,078 gifts worth nearly 1.5 billion VND. In addition, the Association at all levels also mobilized resources to organize 9 gift-giving sessions for poor households, disadvantaged households, disabled households, and children worth over 550 million VND; helped 3 households with degraded houses to build new houses worth 230 million VND; mobilized the construction of "love rice bins" with a total of 132 kg of rice collected, worth 2 million VND to give to the poor; mobilized 35 organizations and individuals to regularly support 72 vulnerable groups with a total amount of over 54 million VND to date.
In addition, the City Red Cross Society also visited and presented 31 gifts to the sister unit, Chuet 2 village (Thang Loi ward) and the villagers worth 9 million VND; mobilized support for the people of Türkiye and Syria with a total amount of over 22.2 million VND transferred to the Provincial Red Cross Society; coordinated medical examination and treatment for 160 patients in difficult circumstances; mobilized cadres, civil servants and people in the area to donate 589 units of blood and 50 units of blood for emergency treatment...
