Officers and soldiers of the Muong Ang Region 4 Defense Command and officers and civil servants of Pu Nhung commune help people dismantle and move houses to avoid the risk of serious landslides.

Comrade Nguyen Van Bach, Chairman of the People's Committee of Pu Nhung commune, said: After many days of heavy rain in the area, Pu Nhung commune has reviewed and received information reflecting that 6 families in Hang Chua village, 1 family in Bon B village, Pu Nhung commune are facing the risk of serious landslides, so the Party Committee and the People's Committee of the commune urgently met to discuss and unanimously direct the forces to support the people to move to a safe place.

Directly directing the support for families to dismantle and move their houses, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trung Kien, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of the Defense Command of Muong Ang Region 4, said: due to the impact of many days of rain, the soil and rocks behind the houses of the households have become loose, many places have cracks and open areas with a high risk of landslides. Therefore, the propaganda, mobilization and support for families to move their houses and assets are carried out simultaneously. Along with that, the Party Committee and the commune government have urgently surveyed and selected the site to build houses for the households.

Representatives of the Defense Command of Region 4 of Muong Ang and leaders of Pu Nhung commune performed the groundbreaking ceremony to start building new houses for families affected by natural disasters in Pu Nhung commune.

"The entire workforce dismantling, moving and building new houses for the households are officers and soldiers of the Defense Command of Area 4 of Muong Ang; officers and civil servants of Pu Nhung commune and people from the villages in the area" - Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trung Kien, added.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for new housing for families affected by natural disasters in Pu Nhung commune on August 16, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trung Kien emphasized that this is an urgent task and demonstrates the sense of responsibility of the armed forces towards the people, contributing to reducing natural disaster risks and maintaining stability in the area.
