Hung Yen focuses on building national standard primary schools

GD&TĐ - On the afternoon of August 18, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen held a conference to deploy tasks for the 2025-2026 school year for primary education.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the province will have 461 primary schools. 100% of primary schools have developed plans and implemented the 2018 General Education Program flexibly, in accordance with the practical conditions of the school. 100% of students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will study English and Information Technology according to the 2018 General Education Program.

The rate of students completing the program in grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 reached 98%. The whole province continues to firmly maintain universal primary education level 3.

Educational institutions promote the application of information technology in organizing and managing professional activities, enhancing digital transformation in education, using electronic records, and piloting digital transcripts to improve the effectiveness of educational management.

At the conference, delegates exchanged and discussed many important contents on: reviewing the planning and network of primary education facilities; investing in building facilities, purchasing teaching materials and equipment according to the 2018 General Education Program; innovating teaching methods, developing students' qualities and capacities; and removing difficulties and obstacles related to the shortage of teachers.

In guiding the implementation of primary education tasks for the 2025-2026 school year, the Hung Yen Department of Education and Training orients primary education institutions to continue effectively implementing the 2018 General Education Program.

Along with that, advise competent authorities to strengthen conditions to ensure facilities, teaching equipment, and teaching staff in the context of implementing the organization of two-level local government and adjusting administrative boundaries...

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen, Pham Dong Thuy, requested that educational institutions focus on improving the quality of teaching two sessions per day and absolutely not organize extra classes at the primary level.

At the same time, focus on building national standard schools, ensuring school safety; promptly consulting on facilities and teaching staff to effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program.
