Music "monster" Paul Kim is the first international artist to attend Eye Contact Live in Vietnam.
On the evening of April 20, "digital music monster" Paul Kim came to Vietnam to participate in the program Eye Contact Live. He said he would collaborate with two Vietnamese singers, Min and Lyly. "Min and Lyly have two beautiful voices. So I'm very excited to collaborate with you. Min and Lyly sing even better in real life than the videos I watch online. So I'm a little nervous" - Paul Kim expressed.
"Monster" Paul Kim said he was honored to be the first international artist to attend Eye Contact Live in Vietnam. When he received the invitation, he reviewed previous episodes of Eye Contact Live and found that the show showed the artists' authenticity in front of the camera as well as their clear singing voices.
"I think music always flows with time. Vietnamese and Korean music is becoming more and more diverse and rich. I was once suggested to listen to some Vietnamese songs and found them very interesting. If there are any suitable Vietnamese songs, I will continue to try them" - he happily said.
Eye Contact Live is a purely musical program with a flexible format. The main criterion of the program is to create musical spaces where the audience and singers are as close as possible to each other. That space can be a corner of a coffee shop, on a bus, or in a small, pretty studio... The performance is recorded live on location.
According to the organizers, the show combining Paul Kim with two Vietnamese singers, Min and Lyly, will air in early May.
Paul Kim started his singing career in 2014 through the talent search competition Star Audition organized by MBC. With his natural voice, gentle but powerful and full of emotion, and the ability to both compose and perform, he received much love from the public.
He is known as the "digital music monster" because many works topped the charts in Korea such as "Me after you", "Every day every moment", "Traffic light"...
In 2019, Paul Kim's hit "Every day every moment" topped the top 13 songs reaching 1 billion digital music points on Gaon with 1.68 billion points, higher than BLACKPINK's DDU-DU DDU-DU. Also in this year, the hit "Me after you" helped Paul Kim win a series of prestigious awards such as: Best Male Solo Artist - Genie Music Awards, Bonsang Award for Best Digital Music - Golden Disc Awards...
Paul Kim also had a cover of Sau tat ca (Erik) in Korean that received the love of the audience.
