Mr. Phung Hao (27 years old), a regular customer at the restaurant, said that at first, he learned about the restaurant through social media, because it was not far from his house in District 5, so he came to try it. Finding the food delicious and to his taste, he often visited.
"The food here is just right, and the prices are also very reasonable. Recently, some restaurants I've eaten at have increased their prices, but this restaurant still maintains affordable prices, so eating here is also a way to save money during these difficult times for me. In recent years, I've also preferred eating at affordable restaurants, with cheap prices but quality food," the customer added.
The owner said that his father and his family have been running this restaurant for many years. The current location of the restaurant is the family's house, so they can save on rent.

"Luckily, my father had a friend who worked as a chef in a restaurant, and he passed on the recipes and cooking methods. At first, our restaurant only sold two dishes: noodles and beef stew. Gradually, we increased the number of dishes to give customers a variety of choices," the Chinese owner, originally from Guangdong, recalled.

Located deep in an alley in District 10 (HCMC), the beef noodle shop of Ms. Vu Thi Kim Dung (65 years old) still operates quietly every day, like that for decades. What is special is that the restaurant's prices are not fixed in a single range. Ms. Dung sells bowls for 10,000 VND to low-income workers, the elderly, or long-time regulars. For walk-in customers or customers who want more, a bowl of beef noodle soup costs 20,000 VND, and if you order extra bones, it costs 30,000 VND.
"Even when someone ordered beef noodle soup for 5,000 VND, she still happily agreed to sell it, that bowl of noodles only had noodles and water. I see many people coming to the restaurant will usually order a bowl for 15,000 - 20,000 VND. The owner has never increased the price, she still keeps the same price," the woman shared.
A regular customer of Ms. Dung said that although there are many other restaurants nearby, she still chooses to come back here because it is delicious and cheap. "I see that nowadays, beef noodle soup is sold at 40,000 - 50,000 VND, which is normal, but Ms. Dung's restaurant still keeps it at 10,000 - 30,000 VND, which is too cheap. With a 30,000 VND bowl, she sells full bones and meat, lacking nothing," said the regular customer.
