The image that the online community considers offensive took place this morning on Dinh Tien Hoang walking street (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi ). Screenshot

According to this person, the event was licensed to be held at the Hoan Kiem Lake walking street. This is an activity organized by the Indian Embassy. As it is a foreign activity, the view of Hanoi City is to create conditions for them to organize.

In response to the opinion that the large number of people lying down on Dinh Tien Hoang Street caused traffic congestion, the leaders of Hoan Kiem District said they had checked. The event attracted about 1,000 people and lasted from 6:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

The event took place in a pedestrian street where motor vehicles were prohibited. Furthermore, the participants only performed on the street.

Dinh Tien Hoang Street has very wide sidewalks on both sides. During the event, there were almost no tourists so there was no traffic congestion.

In response to the opinion that lying down on the street is offensive, the leader of Hoan Kiem district said that the characteristic of Yoga is that there are some movements lying on the mat, the photo spread on social networks may have inappropriate angles but in fact... it is not really like that.

"The brothers there just reported that the situation is stable, no traffic jams, no disorder," he said.

It is known that this is an annual activity organized by the Indian Embassy at the same time in many provinces and cities across the country. The event attracted about 10,000 participants, with about 1,000 people in Hanoi alone responding to the movement.
