Da Nang boasts a rich culinary scene. The "must-visit" spots for Da Nang residents are becoming cultural icons for tourists.

In 2025, Grab Vietnam, in collaboration with the Da Nang City Culinary Culture Association, announced a list of nearly 70 restaurants and eateries at the "Famous Restaurants of Da Nang" awards ceremony. These familiar eateries, mostly located in small alleys, market corners, and sidewalks, were given honorable names as "cultural representatives."

With a smartphone, opening a food delivery app becomes a ticket that brings diners from all over the country closer to the soul of street food – where traditional dishes live not only in memory but also come alive on the digital platform.

"Renowned Restaurants" is an initiative aimed at celebrating local flavors and promoting local culinary culture both domestically and internationally.

For those who have never been to Da Nang, with just a few taps on their phone, they can find a list of famous restaurants, choose regional specialties, and even make reservations to enjoy them as soon as they arrive in the coastal city. This is the concept of a "digital culinary map," where traditional values ​​and technology intersect, creating an unprecedented multi-dimensional experience.

In the list of honored establishments, it's easy to recognize names that have become "must-know addresses" for Da Nang residents: pork spring rolls, Quang noodles, fermented fish noodle soup, fish cake noodle soup... and even the affordable seafood restaurants along the coast.

These eateries have survived for many years by preserving their flavors over time. Some have been selling for decades, some have been passed down from mother to daughter, their recipes preserved as a family tradition. And there are also those that are only a few years old, but sophisticated enough to evoke the taste memories of the city.

Da Nang is a young, dynamic city, often mentioned for its infrastructure, tourism , and services. But behind the straight roads and long coastline, its cuisine is a deeply rooted "soft identity" embedded in the lifestyle of its people.

According to Mr. Ly Dinh Quan, Chairman of the Da Nang Culinary Culture Association, each dish tells a story, and each restaurant is a living heritage. From the heart of the cook to the heart of the diner, cuisine is the messenger connecting the culture, emotions, and pride of the city.

"We believe that when the value of identity is properly awakened and inspired, cuisine not only builds reputation but also creates opportunities, development, and pride for the community," affirmed Mr. Ly Dinh Quan.
