Previously, Mr. VCD (33 years old, residing in Tri Le commune) was brought by his family to Tri Le commune Health Station in a state of severe poisoning due to eating poison ivy. When brought to the station, the patient had difficulty breathing and was not conscious.
Major - Doctor Le Anh Duc, military doctor of Tri Le Border Post and Head of Tri Le Commune Health Station, treated the patient with traditional medicine. After 1 hour, the patient was out of danger, conscious, and able to eat and drink.
Major Le Anh Duc said that the folk remedy used by doctors includes banana stems, combined with crushed pennywort and squeezed to get the juice. To treat the patient, the doctor will use his hands to stimulate the patient to vomit all the food in the stomach. Next, the victim is given about 300 ml of banana and pennywort juice to detoxify.

If the patient has difficulty vomiting, find 2-3 live frogs and put them in the medicine to get the fishy substance that stimulates the patient to vomit.
If the patient cannot open his mouth or swallow, use 3 - 5 liters of the above medicine to inhale into the stomach to induce vomiting. Then, pump about 300 ml of the medicine into the stomach, combined with emergency resuscitation treatment.
Also according to information from Tri Le Border Guard Station, with this folk remedy, from 2016 to present, Major Duc and military doctors have saved the lives of 26 people poisoned by aconite.
Mr. Lu Van Cuong, Chairman of Tri Le Commune People's Committee, confirmed that the folk remedy of Major Le Anh Duc is very effective in treating and detoxifying people poisoned by aconite.
"This area has a lot of poisonous leaves, this is a very poisonous plant. In addition to a few people who accidentally ate or drank the juice of the leaves, some people used this type of leaf to commit suicide when they encountered sadness. With the above folk remedy, Major Le Anh Duc coordinated with the commune health station to save many lives," said Mr. Cuong.
