Promote the image, potential and strengths of Quang Ngai to international partners

On October 25, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province to organize a conference to introduce Quang Ngai with the aim of promoting the image, potential, strengths, and opportunities to attract trade - investment, culture - tourism, agriculture, and industry of Quang Ngai province to international partners.

Attending the conference were Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang; Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Le Van Thanh; representatives of leaders of a number of central ministries and branches; diplomatic delegations, international organizations/agencies, foreign non-governmental organizations; typical domestic and foreign business associations/enterprises...

On the Quang Ngai side, there were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Bui Thi Quynh Van; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh; leaders of departments, branches and enterprises in the area.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang believed that with abundant development potential and the right direction of the provincial leaders, Quang Ngai - a land of opportunity, where all three factors of "heavenly time, geographical advantage, and human harmony" converge - will gain much attention, becoming the priority choice of international partners in the coming time, thereby soon becoming a development center of not only the Central region but also the whole country.

After the event, Ambassadors, leaders of business associations, enterprises, non-governmental organizations, domestic and foreign press agencies will become bridges, helping to introduce Quang Ngai to international friends and partners, contributing to accelerating the international integration process to achieve the goals set by the province.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang said: In the coming time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been and will continue to support and accompany localities, including Quang Ngai, in implementing economic diplomacy to promote connections with foreign partners, expand import and export markets; attract foreign investment resources (FDI), ODA support capital to serve the development drivers of the province such as: tourism, marine economy, logistics, trade, industry (petrochemicals, chemicals, metal production...).

At the Conference, Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh presented an overview of the province's favorable factors such as strategic location in the key economic region of the Central region; developed infrastructure with a system of roads, waterways, railways, airways and a system of 7 seaports; a dynamically developing economy; human resources meeting the needs of investors with a system of leading universities, colleges and vocational schools in the country; rich tourism potential; and a team of highly qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated leaders to the development of the province.

Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh said that Quang Ngai has completed the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and the General Planning for the construction of Dung Quat Economic Zone to 2035, with a vision to 2045. At the same time, in the Central's development orientation for the North Central and Central Coast regions to 2030, with a vision to 2045, two development focuses are identified: "Expanding and building a national refinery, petrochemical and energy center in Dung Quat Economic Zone" and "Sea and island tourism center in Ly Son" will create many development opportunities for Quang Ngai province and investors in the coming time.

During the discussion session, representatives of JETRO, Hong Kong Business Association in Vietnam (HKBAV), European Business Association in Vietnam (EuroCham), Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company, Doosan Enerbility Vietnam Co., Ltd. presented their business and investment plans in the province in the coming time.

At the discussion session, delegates and provincial representatives discussed issues related to insurance, labor, and specific investment and business policies.

In her closing speech at the Conference, Comrade Bui Thi Quynh Van, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Quang Ngai province, expressed her belief that with the great efforts and determination of the Province, the practical results at the Conference will help open up many cooperation prospects, attract many investment resources to jointly create new successes and new prosperity for the locality, community and businesses.

Within the framework of the Conference, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the Quang Ngai Space Exhibition and a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between the Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Ngai province and the Hong Kong Business Association in Vietnam (HKBAV); the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and the province's Industrial Parks and the Investment Information and Consulting Center (INVEST GLOBAL) under the Association of Foreign Investment Enterprises (VAFIE).

In the afternoon of the same day, the Seminar "Opportunities for cooperation and investment in Quang Ngai province" took place; Quang Ngai province leaders received and worked with a number of Ambassadors, diplomatic representative agencies in Hanoi, Business Associations, domestic and foreign enterprises.../.
