Promoting Vietnamese culture and art to Azerbaijani people

From July 26 to 29, a Vietnamese delegation including musicians, artists, writers, scientists, businessmen... attended the third "Vietnam Days" event, held in the capital city of Baku, Azerbaijan.

The event “Vietnam Days”, organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Vietnam, includes a series of diverse activities such as music performances, fashion shows, oil painting exhibitions, culinary festivals, tea ceremonies, etc. to introduce the beauty of Vietnamese culture and art to international friends, including the people of Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Rufat Mahmud - Head of the State Historical and Architectural Monuments Management Board "Icheri Sheher" emphasized that the event "Vietnam Days" has become a meaningful cultural bridge between the two countries, contributing to promoting the friendship and close cooperation between Azerbaijan and Vietnam. He affirmed that the event is a vivid demonstration of the connection between the two long-standing cultures.

Dr. Trinh Thi Thu Ha, Principal of Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism , Head of the Vietnamese delegation attending “Vietnam Days” in Baku, said that this year’s event was held at the time when Vietnam and Azerbaijan announced the establishment of a Strategic Partnership 2025, with the aim of further strengthening the bridge of friendship and cooperation between the countries.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, a special art performance took place with a display of traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai and an exchange concert. Famous Vietnamese artists such as Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hao, Ms. Ngo Huong Diep, Ms. Phan Thi Minh Chau and People's Artist Fidan Hajiyeva of Azerbaijan brought special performances rich in cultural identity. In addition, traditional Vietnamese dishes were also introduced, bringing visitors rich culinary experiences imbued with national identity.

Within the framework of the event, Vietnamese delegates visited and worked with many important agencies and organizations of Azerbaijan such as the Heydar Aliyev Center, Azerbaijan State Television, the National Academy of Sciences, the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovation (ASAN), the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, the Center for Analysis of International Relations and the Nizami Ganjavi International Center. At the destinations, the delegation had meetings, exchanged information and laid the foundation for future cooperative relationships.

The delegation also visited the Memorial Room of President Ho Chi Minh with the Vietnam - Azerbaijan Oil and Gas Industry at Azerbaijan National University of Oil and Industry.
