At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Brunei Tran Anh Vu presented a number of Vietnamese literature and cultural research books to the Brunei International School library. The books include: Famous literary works translated into English such as “Diary of a Cricket” by writer To Hoai, “I see yellow flowers in the green grass” and “Ticket to childhood” by writer Nguyen Nhat Anh.

Ambassador Tran Anh Vu expressed his hope that students of the Brunei International School and international friends would actively welcome Vietnamese literary works and cultural research, as well as films successfully adapted from the above-mentioned literary works.
Within the framework of the program, lecturers from Brunei International School and 30 students from grades 7 to 12 of various nationalities experienced traditional Vietnamese hand embroidery techniques and decorated products with unique patterns of the H'Mong ethnic group under the guidance of Ms. Le Thi Hong Ngoan - Ambassador's wife, Ms. Maisarah Nguyen - founder of Rattan House handicraft enterprise and Ms. Pham Thu Phuong, representative of the Vietnamese community in Brunei.

With the message of promoting traditional handicrafts associated with environmental protection, the materials used at the event are all natural or recycled, including old newspapers, used plastic bottles, dried grass, etc.
Ms. Le Thi Hong Ngoan and the tour guides said that in the coming time, they will continue to research and explore natural materials in Brunei to combine them in Vietnamese handicraft products, as well as contribute to cultural exchange activities between Vietnam and Brunei.

Brunei International School is a prestigious educational institution in Brunei Darussalam with a history of over 60 years of operation. The school currently has about 1,400 students and teachers of many nationalities, with modern facilities and an internationally standardized curriculum. The leaders of Brunei International School expressed their hope that in the future, more Vietnamese students will participate in training programs at the school, as well as more cooperation and exchange activities between the school and educational institutions in Vietnam.
