On the afternoon of September 18, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam province sent an official dispatch to the departments of education and training, high schools, ethnic boarding schools, and continuing education centers about allowing students to stay home from school to ensure safety.
Accordingly, implementing the telegram of the Provincial People's Committee on proactively responding to tropical depressions that are likely to strengthen into storms, the department requested units to implement a number of contents.
Specifically notice for students to be off school on September 19.
Assign shifts and promptly report on storms, flash floods, damage and remedial measures to the department for synthesis and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee.
Previously, the department also sent an official dispatch requesting units to monitor and regularly update information on developments of tropical depressions, storms, and floods to proactively direct and deploy appropriate response work to natural disasters that may affect the unit's management scope.
Heads of units direct the work of ensuring safety for teachers, students, facilities, equipment, tools and learning materials in areas affected by floods.
Take proactive measures to prevent flooding, develop plans to ensure the safety of school buildings, move machinery, teaching equipment, documents, and records to higher floors or move them to places without the risk of flooding to avoid damage.
