
Attending the event were Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Nhat, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Da Nang City Military Command; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Binh, Deputy Political Commissar of the Defense Command of Region V - Dien Ban; Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs Ha Duc Hoai; Deputy Head of the Youth Union and Youth Affairs Department of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Chi Thanh, along with many leaders, cadres and people of the commune.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Ban Tay Commune, Vo Nhu Phong, the Martyrs' Cemetery of Dien Tho Commune, now Dien Ban Tay Commune, Da Nang City, was built in 1983 and is the resting place of more than 1,185 martyrs. After more than 40 years, many construction items have seriously degraded.
In December 2024, with the financial support of the Central Government and the city, the commune invested in the construction, renovation and upgrading of the martyrs' cemetery with items such as: renovating the stone cladding of 1,185 graves; renovating the yard, internal walkways; renovating the lighting system, irrigation water, trees; installing a lighting system for the ceremony yard, main walkway, planting additional trees; painting the fence, monuments and other items with a total investment of more than 6.3 billion VND.

Mr. Le Van Quang, Secretary of the Dien Ban Tay Commune Party Committee, emphasized that the project to renovate and upgrade the martyrs' cemetery is a symbol of the morality of remembering the source of water, showing gratitude for the sacrifices and losses of heroic martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and people with revolutionary contributions.

Along with the inauguration ceremony of the renovation and upgrading of the martyrs’ cemetery, the commune also organized many activities: incense offering, art performances, candle lighting in gratitude, and incense visiting the graves of heroic martyrs. This is an opportunity for cadres, party members and people of the commune to express their respect and gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification.
