
Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Phi Hung affirmed that the process of implementing, preparing and organizing the commune-level Fatherland Front Congress always received the direct attention and direction of Party committees at all levels, the coordination and facilitation of local authorities and the initiative of the Standing Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels. The Congress was carefully prepared in both content and form, promoting democracy, ensuring safety, economy and efficiency.
At the congress, the Commune-level Fatherland Front Committee focused on evaluating the results of the Front's work for the 2019-2024 term; goals and action programs for the 2024-2029 term. Consultations were held to elect members of the new term Fatherland Front Committee and the delegation to attend the congress of the higher-level Fatherland Front to ensure the correct standards, structure, composition and number according to regulations.
The highlight is that the personnel of the Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level elected by the consultative congress has fundamentally changed, ensuring the correct requirements, structure, composition, non-Party ratio, female ratio, prestigious people, and exemplary people.
Accordingly, the congresses have consulted and elected 7,829 people to join the new term of the Commune-level Fatherland Front Committee. Of these, 4,144 people were re-elected (52.93%); 3,685 people were newly re-elected (47%); 2,039 people were non-Party members (26.04%); 2,421 were women (30.9%); 1,792 were ethnic minorities (22.8%)...
After the congress, the Commune Fatherland Front Committee held the first consultation meeting to elect new positions. Each Commune Fatherland Front Committee has from 30 to 50 members; the Standing Committee has 3 people, including 1 chairman, 1 vice chairman and 1 standing member. The Chairman of the Commune Fatherland Front Committee has 140 people who are members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the commune, ward and town; 99 people are Party Committee members.
At the district level, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee focused on directing the successful organization of the district-level model Fatherland Front Congress in Dai Loc; then learned from experience and continued to direct the organization of Fatherland Front Congresses in other districts, towns and cities in the province.
To date, Hiep Duc is the second unit to complete the district-level congress. According to the plan, the district-level Fatherland Front Congress will be completed before June 21, 2024, and the 17th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (term 2024 - 2029) is expected to take place in August 2024.
Towards the successful organization of the Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024 - 2029 term, Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung said that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has completed the draft Summary Report for the 2019 - 2024 term and sent it to the district-level Fatherland Front to organize discussion conferences and widely collect opinions within the Front system, member organizations and people before organizing the congress.
Along with that, the development of the personnel plan as well as the selection and introduction of personnel to participate in the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024 - 2029 term are carefully and thoroughly prepared to ensure the standards and composition structure are in accordance with regulations. The process of selecting and introducing personnel focuses on discovering and introducing people with capacity, prestige, enthusiasm, and high responsibility for the country and the work of the Front.
Previously, on the basis of inheriting the number of members of the previous term and the practical requirements to improve the quality of Front work in the new situation, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held the 12th Conference (March 2024) to approve the Personnel Project of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024 - 2029 term with 95 members, an increase of 2 members compared to the 2019 - 2024 term. The Standing Committee has 8 members, including the chairman, vice chairmen and standing members.
