Quang Ngai prepares to start 3 projects worth more than 2,500 billion VND

From now until the end of 2025, Quang Ngai will start construction on three major projects with a total investment of more than VND2,500 billion.

On September 24, the Quang Ngai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the unit is urgently completing procedures to start construction of 3 key projects in the last 3 months of 2025, with a total investment capital of about 2,585 billion VND.

Tra Khuc 1 Bridge, Quang Ngai is now seriously degraded.

According to the plan, the projects include the new Tra Khuc 1 bridge, upgrading and expanding the traffic infrastructure of Dung Quat Economic Zone and repairing and expanding the irrigation canal of Tuyen Tung reservoir.

The new Tra Khuc 1 Bridge, with a total investment of nearly VND 2,200 billion, is expected to start construction in December 2025. The project is more than 577 m long and 28 m wide, connecting Nghia Lo ward with Truong Quang Trong ward, with implementation time from 2025 to 2027. After completion, this bridge will replace the old Tra Khuc 1 Bridge, enhancing traffic connections at the northern gateway to the provincial center and creating an architectural highlight along the Tra Khuc River.

The second project is to upgrade and expand the traffic infrastructure system in Dung Quat Economic Zone, with an investment capital of 350 billion VND, expected to start construction in October 2025. The project will upgrade, expand and invest in 4 new routes: Tri Binh - Thien Dang roundabout; Thien Dang roundabout - Chu Lai; the route connecting National Highway 1 - Tinh Phong - Binh Tan (phase 1); Lam Vien - Van Tuong route, with a total length of about 8 km.

The third project is to repair and expand the irrigation canal of Tuyen Tung reservoir (Binh Minh commune, old Binh Son district), with an investment capital of about 35 billion VND, expected to start construction in December 2025. Tuyen Tung reservoir was built in 2003, with an area of ​​nearly 21 hectares, supplying irrigation water for about 400 hectares of agricultural land. After more than 20 years of exploitation, many items have degraded, irrigation capacity has decreased, not meeting current needs, so it needs to be upgraded to continue serving production and aquaculture.

The design of Tra Khuc 1 Bridge (new) is inspired by the banks of Tra River.

All three projects are invested by the Quang Ngai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board. At the same time, the province is also preparing to invest in two other projects, including: upgrading and renovating National Highway 24B and the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road, phase 3.
