Quang Ninh: Militia training closely aligned with local realities.

On the morning of April 10th, at Binh Khe ward, the Command of Defense Zone 5 - Quang Yen (Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command) held the opening ceremony for the first-year militia training course of 2026. Attending the opening ceremony was Lieutenant Colonel Bui Van Duong, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command; also present were representatives from the localities with militia forces participating in the training.

The training course involved 150 first-year militia soldiers from wards within the Zone 5 defense area of ​​Quang Yen. Over 15 days, the soldiers received basic training in political and legal education; militia drill regulations; infantry weapon techniques; grenade and explosive techniques; fortification and camouflage techniques; combat tactics; methods of utilizing terrain and natural features; and practical training in patrolling, guarding, protecting targets, and organizing combat operations. At the end of the training, the soldiers will be tested on skills such as throwing grenades accurately and accurately; and firing the AK submachine gun (exercise 1).

In his opening remarks, Lieutenant Colonel Bui Duy Tuan, Commander of the Defense Command of Area 5 - Quang Yen, requested that the militia forces participating in the training strictly adhere to discipline, especially during field training and exercises involving the use of weapons and ammunition. He also emphasized the importance of linking training with discipline, building internal solidarity, and fostering unity between the military and the people.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the militia members studied several topics related to political and legal education .

The organizing committee, teaching staff, and support departments are required to ensure good logistical and technical support; promptly encourage and create favorable conditions for soldiers to focus on their studies and training. Inspection and evaluation must be carried out rigorously and accurately, with reports compiled according to regulations.

The Military Command of the wards with forces participating in the training need to coordinate closely with the specialized agencies of the Regional Defense Command in managing, monitoring, and supervising; ensuring the correct and sufficient number of personnel are summoned, and promoting a sense of responsibility in performing the task.
