Connecting OCOP products with tourism in Quang Ninh province contributes to creating sustainable output for products, helping tourists have more experiences. Quang Ninh is promoting its advantages, strongly developing the tourism industry and considering this as a driving force for development. Every year, the province welcomes millions of domestic and international tourists to experience. This can be an effective channel for promoting and introducing OCOP products of the province. Quang Ninh province, through tourism activities and tourists, OCOP products will be spread to many places. In the opposite direction, OCOP products are the place to inspire and promote unique values to attract tourists to the locality. Therefore, promoting the development of OCOP products associated with tourism development is the right direction and OCOP products can completely become "ambassadors" of tourism to increase attractiveness to tourists.

Statistics from the Department of Tourism of Quang Ninh province show that in the first 10 months of 2024 alone, Quang Ninh welcomed over 16.7 million tourists, an increase of 20% over the same period last year, including over 3 million international visitors. Total revenue from tourism is over 40,100 billion VND, an increase of 38% over the same period in 2023. This is a positive figure and a good sign for the tourism industry. This also shows that developing OCOP product connections associated with tourism development is a completely reasonable direction, because each OCOP product creates its own characteristics of a locality, expressing the traditions, customs, and living habits of the people to tourists. From there, creating an identity for the destination, increasing product value, and at the same time developing local tourism products. Currently, Quang Ninh has 417 OCOP products of 13 localities reaching 3 - 5 stars. Most of the products that have been awarded stars continue to develop strongly, maintain and improve food safety quality standards; 100% of 3-5 star OCOP products are put on the e-commerce platform https://www.ocopquangninh.com.vn; packaging and labels are gradually improved, upgraded and printed with full information according to regulations. Many OCOP products of the province have expanded their consumption markets thanks to their association with tourism development such as: Ha Long pearls; Quy Hoa golden flower tea; BAVABI oyster floss, shrimp floss... Each OCOP product is a "cultural ambassador" of each locality in Quang Ninh, representing the traditions, customs and living habits of the people. During their sightseeing and shopping, tourists always need to be informed about the special features of the product from the source of raw materials, processing, production and also the value of use, cultural and spiritual values. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Ninh province - said that in 2024, the province will continue to promote the OCOP program through many fairs and major events, attracting thousands of visitors to visit and shop. Not only stopping at the domestic market, Quang Ninh also actively promotes the export of OCOP products internationally, especially through large-scale trade fairs such as Vietnam Expo 2024, the China - Vietnam Border Tourism Festival and many trade events in China and ASEAN. These activities help OCOP businesses connect with international partners, seek opportunities to develop products in major markets. economic development for the mining land.
