Previously, the National Assembly listened to Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong present a report explaining, accepting and revising the draft Resolution on the National Assembly's Supervision Program in 2024.

The content of the report presented by the Secretary General of the National Assembly stated that on the morning of May 27, 2023, the National Assembly discussed in the Hall the assessment of the results of the implementation of the Supervision Program in 2022, the first months of 2023 and the expected Supervision Program of the National Assembly along with the draft Resolution on the Supervision Program of the National Assembly in 2024.
Most National Assembly deputies agreed with the content of the Submission and the draft Resolution on the National Assembly's Supervision Program in 2024; at the same time, they unanimously agreed that in recent times, the supervision work of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly agencies, the National Assembly delegations and the National Assembly deputies has had many innovations in the direction of substance and efficiency, avoiding formality and waste and minimizing impacts on the normal activities of localities, establishments, enterprises and related agencies and units.
Thereby, many positive results have been achieved, especially contributing to solving difficulties and problems in the promulgation and implementation of legal policies, receiving the attention, monitoring and support of a large number of voters and people.
Also this afternoon, the National Assembly discussed piloting special mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City.
Based on the results of the selection of the National Assembly deputies, the National Assembly decided to conduct supreme supervision on topic 1 on the implementation of Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies and resolutions of the National Assembly on a number of important national projects; topic 4 on real estate business and social housing development. At the same time, the National Assembly Standing Committee was assigned to organize supervision on topic 2 on public service units and topic 3 on ensuring traffic order and safety.
“There were 459 delegates participating in the vote, equivalent to 92.91%. The number of votes in favor was 451, accounting for 91.30%. Thus, the National Assembly has passed the Resolution on the National Assembly's Supervision Program in 2024,” announced National Assembly Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong.
Also this afternoon, June 8, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of special mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City.
