1. Fine for driving in the wrong direction in 2024

- A fine of VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000 shall be imposed for driving a car in the wrong direction on a one-way street or a street with a "No entry" sign. However, this provision does not apply to violations at Point a, Clause 8, Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP and cases where priority vehicles are performing urgent tasks as prescribed (according to Point c, Clause 5, Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, amended by Point d, Clause 34, Article 2 of Decree 123/2021/ND-CP).

Accompanied by: Suspension of the right to use a driving license from 02 to 04 months (according to point c, clause 11, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

Fine for driving in the opposite direction of a car

- A fine of VND 10,000,000 to VND 12,000,000 shall be imposed for driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street or a street with a "No entry" sign causing a traffic accident, except for violations at Point a, Clause 8, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP (according to Point a, Clause 7, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, amended by Point d, Clause 3, Article 2, Decree 123/2021/ND-CP).

Accompanied by: Suspension of the right to use a driving license from 02 to 04 months (according to point c, clause 11, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

- A fine of 16,000,000 to 18,000,000 VND for driving in the wrong direction on the highway, except for priority vehicles performing urgent tasks as prescribed (according to Point a, Clause 8, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

Accompanied by: Suspension of the right to use a driver's license from 05 to 07 months (according to point d, clause 11, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

2. Fine for driving in the opposite direction of a motorbike in 2024

- A fine of VND 1,000,000 to VND 2,000,000 shall be imposed for driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street or a street with a "No entry" sign, except for violations at Point b, Clause 6, Article 6 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP and cases where priority vehicles are performing urgent tasks as prescribed (according to Point a, Clause 5, Article 6 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, amended by Point c, Clause 4, Article 2 of Decree 123/2021/ND-CP).

Accompanied by: Suspension of the right to use the driving license from 01 to 03 months (according to point b, clause 10, Article 6, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

Fine for driving in the opposite direction to a motorbike

- Fine from 4,000,000 to 5,000,000 VND for the act of going in the wrong direction on a one-way street or a street with a "No entry" sign causing a traffic accident (according to point b, clause 7, Article 6, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

Accompanied by: Suspension of the right to use a driving license from 02 to 04 months (according to point c, clause 10, Article 6, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
