Currently, localities are organizing the grading of high school graduation exams. Many people wonder about the grading process to ensure objectivity and fairness in grading.
According to the provisions of Clauses 2 and 3, Article 27 of the Regulations issued with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT (amended in Circular 05/2021/TT-BGDDT), the head of the exam marking subject or the Head of the Exam Marking Team authorized by the head of the exam marking subject organizes the drawing of lots and delivers the entire exam paper bag to each exam marking officer (CBChT);
Literature is the only essay test, so the marking process is at least twice by two different examiners.
Before marking, the invigilator checks each test to ensure there are enough sheets and blanks, and crosses out all the blank spaces left over from the test paper that the candidate did not write on;
In case of discovery: The test does not have enough pages or cards; The test is done on scratch paper;
The test is written on paper different from the paper used for the test; The test has the handwriting of two or more people, written in two or more different ink colors, written in red ink, pencil, or has writing or drawing of content unrelated to the test content;
Crumpled or questionable exam papers marked with CBChT's mark are responsible for reporting and handing over these exam papers to the Head of the Exam Marking Team for handling;
When marking the first time, apart from the cross-lines on the remaining white space on the candidate's test paper, the invigilator must absolutely not write anything on the candidate's test paper or the test bag;
Component scores, total scores and comments (if any) are only recorded on 01 (one) score sheet for each exam; The score sheet clearly states the full name and signature of the examiner;
After marking a bag, the examiner will hand it over to the Chief Examiner or the Head of the Examination Group authorized by the Chief Examiner to hand over to the Examination Council Secretariat.
Second marking process: After the first marking, the member of the Examination Council Secretariat withdraws all the marking sheets; then, hands over the exam bags to the Head of the Examination Board or the Head of the Examination Board authorized by the Head of the Examination Board to organize the drawing for the second marking, ensuring that the marked exam bags are not returned to the same person who marked the first time;
The second CBChT scores directly on the candidate's test paper (the score for each sub-item must be written on the left margin of the test paper, right next to the item being scored) and on the scoring sheet;
After marking each bag, the examiner will hand over the marked bag of exam papers and the marking sheet to the Chief Examiner or the Head of the Marking Team authorized by the Chief Examiner to hand over to the Secretariat of the Examination Council.
General regulations on grading the 2023 high school graduation essay exam, in Clause 1, Article 27 of the Regulations issued with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT (amended in Circular 05/2021/TT-BGDDT) stipulates grading according to the grading instructions, answers, and grading scale of the Ministry of Education and Training;
The test is graded on a 10 (ten) point scale; the odd points of the total score are rounded to 2 (two) decimal places; each test is graded in two independent rounds by two examiners of two different Examination Boards;
The Examination Council Secretariat delivers the completed exam papers and marking sheets to the Head of the Examination Board;
The head examiner organizes the dissemination of the examination regulations, discusses answers, and provides marking instructions to all heads of the examination marking teams, examiners, and organizes the joint marking of at least 10 (ten) essay exams;
Then, the exam marking is organized according to the two-round independent marking process in separate marking rooms. For examination councils with 30,000 (thirty thousand) candidates or more, the Head of the Examination Marking Subject or the Head of the Examination Marking Group authorized by the Head of the Examination Marking Subject shall organize the joint marking for each Examination Marking Group or group of Examination Marking Groups;
