The art exhibition "Art works - Collection of Hue Museum of Fine Arts" on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of Hue Museum of Fine Arts (2018 - 2023) was just inaugurated and opened to the public on the afternoon of December 5 at 15 Le Loi, Hue City.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phan Ngoc Tho, representatives of leaders of units, painters, representatives of the painter's family, the late painter and art lovers attended.

The exhibition displays and introduces to the public 140 works of art in the forms of painting, sculpture, graphics, and video art.

Of these, 68 works were collected with funding from Thua Thien Hue province with the criteria of famous painters and sculptors who are natives of Hue or who have lived, studied and worked in Hue and have contributed to the development of Hue Fine Arts from the early decades of the 20th century to the present. These include works by famous names such as Ton That Sa, Buu Chi, Hoang Dang Nhuan, Truong Be, Do Ky Hoang, Vinh Phoi, Dinh Cuong, Ton That Van, Phan Xuan Sanh, etc.

In addition, the exhibition also introduces 40 works donated by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and 32 works donated by organizations and individuals.

On this occasion, the Hue Museum of Fine Arts received the art work “The Ceremony of the Transmission of the Lo” by the late painter Do Ky Hoang, presented by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, and two works “Spring Harmony” and “The Great Highlands in My Eyes” composed and presented by painter Tran Nguyen Dan.

Ms. Dinh Thi Hoai Trai, Director of Hue Fine Arts Museum, said that the exhibition aims to express gratitude for the great contributions of artists, organizations and individuals who have contributed to the construction and development of Hue fine arts in general and Hue Fine Arts Museum in particular. At the same time, she expressed deep gratitude to agencies, departments, individuals and organizations that have paid attention to preserving and promoting the cultural and artistic values ​​of the Vietnamese people in general and Thua Thien Hue in particular.

The exhibition is open until December 31.
