Launching the Smart Urban Operations Center of District 7

The District 7 Smart City Operations Center was built to synchronize technology solutions, ensuring that current and future systems can integrate and share data flexibly and consistently. The center was developed based on the Covid-19 Prevention and Control and Economic Recovery Command Center platform built by FPT for District 7 during the tense pandemic period in Ho Chi Minh City in 2021.

In the economic field, the center helps digitize data of 29,273 business households, 30,025 enterprises, 22 cooperatives, 9 markets, supermarkets, 3 shopping malls, 165 convenience stores. In the urban field, District 7 and FPT digitize all planning maps, digitize 105 apartment buildings, 458 roads, 540 alleys, 410 rivers and canals, 100 bridges, 25 fire hydrants.

In the field of natural resources and environment, the center digitizes land use plans, lists of trees, green areas, and garbage collection points. In the field of health , the center digitizes 2,503 food service businesses licensed for food hygiene and safety, 5 hospitals, 266 pharmacies, 8 ward health stations, 13 general clinics, and 155 specialized clinics.

Opening of District 7 Smart Urban Operations Center

According to Mr. Vo Khac Thai - Secretary of District 7 Party Committee, the Smart Urban Operations Center will bring positive effects in state management, economy and society for the district: "The center's operation will contribute to promoting the digital transformation process, building digital government and improving the quality of service for people; demonstrating the determination to realize the vision and aspiration of building District 7 into a center of high-quality medical, educational, tourism, physical education and sports services in the southern region of Ho Chi Minh City".

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - General Director of FPT Corporation shared: "The launch of the Smart Urban Operations Center is the next important achievement of the long-term and sustainable cooperation between FPT Corporation and District 7, demonstrating the vision of the district's leaders in terms of digital thinking and management methods. I believe that the center will be a powerful foundation for District 7 to gradually achieve the goals and tasks of administrative reform, contributing to the completion of socio-economic development targets in the district, serving the management and leadership of the district in carrying out socio-political tasks in 2023 and the following years".

Previously, in 2021, when the Covid-19 pandemic was complicated, District 7 cooperated with FPT Corporation to build a Covid-19 prevention and control command center and restore the economy in just 10 days. This is an important step forward, helping District 7 maintain green areas, ensure security and order, and restore the economy.
