Launching the "Green March" Volunteer Campaign in 2025

STO - On the morning of May 25, at Thanh Nien Park, Ward 1, Soc Trang City (Soc Trang), the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union chose Soc Trang City Youth Union to coordinate with the Provincial Police Youth Union, the Provincial Military Command, and the Provincial Border Guard as the venue for the launching ceremony of the "Green March" Volunteer Campaign in 2025. Comrade Nguyen Tran Anh Duy - Secretary of Soc Trang City Youth Union, along with coordinating units and grassroots youth unions, and a large number of union members and youths attended.

Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Tran Anh Duy said, “Green March 2025” is not only a campaign, it is also a big school, where we learn to share, learn to mature and learn to love. This is an opportunity for each individual to be challenged, trained and feel more deeply the value of life, while demonstrating the noble qualities of a soldier.

With the above meaning, the Secretary of the Soc Trang City Youth Union called on union members and young people to continue to affirm the bravery and pioneering spirit of the youth. Let's work together to carry out youth projects and tasks. Do a good job in social security work and turn unfinished childhood dreams into bright realities. Let's carry with us the spirit of "wherever there is a need, there is a youth, wherever there is difficulty, there is a youth" and especially the steel spirit of a soldier to excellently complete all tasks.

With the spirit of shock, steadfastness and indomitable will of a soldier, Lieutenant Vo Tan An, member of the Youth Union of Ward 1 Police, representative of the Youth Union of the armed forces, spoke in response with determination: “We promise to do our best, not afraid of hardships and sacrifices, to excellently complete all assigned tasks. We will turn the professional knowledge and skills trained in the military into specific and practical actions, so that every step of the “Green March” leaves a mark of dedication and responsibility”.

On this occasion, the program's organizers awarded 10 scholarships and gifts to children who overcame difficulties to study well. After the ceremony, representatives of the youth union of the units visited and presented gifts to the Vietnamese Heroic Mother. The volunteer team also cleaned the Nhan Luc canal in Ward 1, Soc Trang city.
