According to the Government Electronic Newspaper, on the morning of May 25th in Kuala Lumpur, during his official visit to Malaysia and participation in the 46th ASEAN Summit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, met with officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Malaysia.
In informing overseas Vietnamese about the domestic situation and its important and outstanding achievements, the Prime Minister devoted considerable time to sharing about Vietnam's vibrant foreign affairs activities and its increasingly elevated role and position in the international arena.
According to the Prime Minister, the Vietnamese diaspora abroad, including the Vietnamese community in Malaysia, has made important contributions and shares a sense of pride in this.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the Party, State, and Government of Vietnam always pay attention to the Vietnamese community abroad in general and the Vietnamese community in Malaysia in particular; considering the community as an inseparable part, as blood and flesh, and as an important resource of the nation.
Recently, several policies concerning Vietnamese people living abroad have been further concretized in draft laws submitted to the National Assembly for consideration, including the passing of three amended laws: the Law on Identity Cards, the Law on Housing, and the Law on Land. The Government will soon submit to the National Assembly amendments to the Law on Nationality, with a more open and favorable approach, creating the most favorable conditions for all patriotic individuals to contribute to and support the country.
The head of government stated that there are many ways to help the country; staying in one's home country is good, and returning home is also good. First and foremost, each person should be able to take care of themselves and their families, and when they have the means, they should contribute to the country with their hearts, fostering national pride and brotherhood, "everyone contributes what they can, those who have the ability contribute their ability, those who have resources contribute resources, those who have a lot contribute a lot, those who have little contribute a little."
Affirming that one of the sources of our nation's strength is the spirit of solidarity, the Prime Minister expressed his wish that the Vietnamese community would continue to work together to build a developed and strong community with a high role and position in the local society; preserve and promote the national cultural identity and the Vietnamese language, honoring the beauty and value of the Vietnamese language in the community and with international friends, because as long as the culture remains, the nation remains.
In addition, according to the Prime Minister, there is a need for more practical activities directed towards the homeland, contributing to the country's development; associations should continue to promote their role in connecting overseas Vietnamese, including connecting and building networks of Vietnamese businesses in their host countries.
Regarding the aspirations and suggestions of the Vietnamese community abroad, the Prime Minister acknowledged and appreciated their opinions, stating that he would continue to direct domestic agencies to implement even more decisive measures to meet the legitimate aspirations of our compatriots overseas.
In that context, the Prime Minister stated that the "four strategic goals" outlined in the four Politburo Resolutions (on breakthroughs in science and technology development, national innovation and digital transformation; on international integration in the new context; on reforming the work of drafting and implementing laws to meet the requirements of national development in the new era; and on the development of the private economy) all call for contributions and policies for Vietnamese people living abroad.

The Prime Minister instructed the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese to develop a systematic plan for establishing Vietnamese language training centers abroad.
The head of government once again expressed his hope that the Vietnamese community would always remain united, stand together, maintain stability and development, and look towards a sustainable future.
