Prime Minister: Create the most favorable conditions for patriots to build and help the country

According to the Government Electronic Newspaper, on the morning of May 25, in Kuala Lumpur, during the official visit to Malaysia and the 46th ASEAN Summit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation, met with officials, staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Malaysia.

Informing overseas Vietnamese about the domestic situation with important and outstanding results, the Prime Minister spent a lot of time sharing about the very vibrant foreign affairs activities, the increasingly enhanced role and position of Vietnam in the international arena.

According to the Prime Minister, our overseas Vietnamese community, including the Vietnamese community in Malaysia, has made important contributions and shares pride in this.

The Prime Minister affirmed that our Party, State and Government always pay attention to the overseas Vietnamese community in general and the Vietnamese community in Malaysia in particular; considering the community an inseparable part, flesh and blood, and an important resource of the nation.

Recently, a number of policies for overseas Vietnamese have continued to be specified in draft laws, submitted to the National Assembly for consideration, including three amended laws passed, including the Law on Identity Cards, the Law on Housing, and the Law on Land. In the near future, the Government will continue to submit to the National Assembly amendments to the Law on Nationality, with a more open spirit, creating the most favorable conditions for all patriots to build and help the country.

The head of the Government believes that there are many ways to help the country, staying in the country is good and returning home is also good. First of all, each person should take care of themselves and their families, and when they have the conditions, they should contribute to the country with all their heart, promoting nationalism and compatriotism, "whoever has something to contribute, whoever has merits contributes merits, whoever has property contributes property, whoever has a lot contributes a lot, whoever has little contributes little".

Affirming that one of the sources of strength of our nation is the spirit of solidarity, the Prime Minister hopes that people will continue to join hands to build a developed, strong community with a high role and position in the local society; preserve and promote the national cultural identity, the Vietnamese language, honor the beauty and value of the Vietnamese language in the international community and friends, because as long as the culture exists, the nation exists.

In addition, according to the Prime Minister, there should be more practical activities towards the country, contributing to the country's development; associations continue to promote the role of connecting overseas Vietnamese, including connecting and building a network of Vietnamese businesses in the host country.

Regarding the aspirations and proposals of the people, the Prime Minister shared and acknowledged the opinions and said that he would continue to direct domestic agencies to implement more drastic measures to meet the legitimate aspirations of our compatriots abroad.

In particular, the Prime Minister said that in the "strategic quartet" according to the 4 Resolutions of the Politburo (on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; on international integration in the new situation; on innovation in law-making and enforcement to meet the requirements of national development in the new era; on private economic development), all call for contributions and have policies for overseas Vietnamese.

During the upcoming talks with Malaysian leaders, the Prime Minister will ask Malaysia to continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for our community to live, study and work stably, including visa issues.

The Prime Minister assigned the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese to develop a thorough plan to deploy Vietnamese language training centers abroad.

The Head of Government once again hopes that the Vietnamese community will always be united, stand side by side, be stable, develop, look towards the future, and be sustainable.
