Supplementing and strengthening the membership of the National Committee on the Elderly of Vietnam.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long signed Decision No. 2695/QD-TTg dated December 11, 2025, of the Prime Minister on supplementing and consolidating the membership of the National Committee on the Elderly of Vietnam.

Specifically, the Prime Minister has appointed Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Deputy Minister of Health , to replace Mr. Le Duc Luan, Deputy Minister of Health.

At the same time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Finance, was added as a member of the National Committee on the Elderly of Vietnam.

* According to Decision No. 2219/QD-TTg dated October 7, 2025, the National Committee on the Elderly of Vietnam is tasked with researching and proposing to the Prime Minister directions and solutions to address important, inter-sectoral issues in the implementation of the work of protecting, caring for, and promoting the role of the elderly.

At the same time, it assists the Prime Minister in directing, managing, and coordinating among ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, departments, and localities in the development and implementation of work related to the elderly, the National Strategy on the Elderly, and programs, projects, and tasks in the field of the elderly; it also assists the Prime Minister in directing ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and government agencies in the protection, care, and promotion of the role of the elderly.
