During the working trip, the Prime Minister attended the High-level Meeting between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party; co-chaired with Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone the 48th Session of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee; attended activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Laos' National Day and the 105th birthday of the late President Kaysone Phomvihane; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Lao General Secretary and President Thonglun Sisoulith; and attended the Vietnam-Laos Investment Promotion Conference.
The Prime Minister 's working trip contributed to the great success of the High-level Meeting between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, with strategic orientations, including upgrading the content of the Vietnam - Laos relationship to "Great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, strategic connection".
In particular, the Prime Minister co-chaired the 48th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee, attended the Vietnam-Laos Investment Promotion Conference and met and held talks with Lao leaders, most of which focused on implementing and immediately realizing the agreements of the high-level meeting between the two Parties held immediately before.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working trip contributes to further consolidating and strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Laos.
