The exhibition, organized by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with other agencies and units, is the opening activity in a series of practical cultural and artistic events aimed at celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

In his opening remarks at the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam have always consistently maintained the view of building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity; considering culture as both a spiritual foundation and an important endogenous driving force for development. In particular, the field of fine arts plays a special role in affirming identity, nurturing the soul, and spreading the soft power of the country.

According to Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, we have every right to be proud that Vietnamese visual arts are increasingly asserting their position on the regional and world art map, with many works of high artistic value reflecting the modern Vietnamese soul while still deeply rooted in tradition. In this journey, lacquer art is one of the most outstanding contributions. From the traditional materials of the nation, Vietnamese artists have created and developed a unique form of painting that is highly appreciated by the international art community.
Vietnamese lacquerware not only achieves a high level of technical sophistication but also embodies the cultural depth, patience, meticulousness, and unique aesthetic sensibility of the Vietnamese people. The technique of polishing each layer of lacquer to reveal the colors, lines, and shapes creates a mystical, elegant, and profound beauty on the surface of the artwork. Lacquerware pieces have long been not only symbols of traditional art but also a rich source of expression in contemporary art.

"The lacquer art exhibition, held to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, is a cultural and artistic activity with profound significance, expressing the feelings, beliefs, responsibilities, and pride of artists and writers towards the Party and the country," Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong emphasized.
The exhibition not only celebrates the traditional values of lacquer art but also affirms the strong vitality, adaptability, and innovation of Vietnamese fine arts in the context of integration. It is also an opportunity for domestic and international audiences to better understand and appreciate this art form with its distinct Vietnamese identity; and at the same time, contribute to promoting the image of a country rich in culture, creativity, and humanism.

The lacquer art exhibition, held to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, showcases 44 valuable paintings with themes praising the homeland and country, by generations of veteran artists who have made significant contributions and left their mark on the development of Vietnamese fine arts. Notable examples include "Hoa Binh Landscape" (Nguyen Van Binh), "Uncle Ho with Children" (Nguyen Nghia Duyen), "Chi Lang Pass" (Le Quoc Loc), "After Labor Hours" (Lo An Quang), "Road to Pac Bo Cave" (Tran Dinh Tho), "Ha Long Boat" (Nguyen Van Ty), "Peninsula" (Doan Van Nguyen), etc.
In addition, the exhibition features works by contemporary artists who have achieved success in their artistic careers. These include works such as "Vietnamese Bamboo" (Pham Hoang Van), "Countryside Alley" (Nguyen Phuc Loi), "Blue Moon" (Nguyen Truong Linh), "Echoes of the Central Highlands" (Tran Tuan Long), "Em Xoan" (Bui Huu Hung), etc.
The exhibition, which runs until December 22nd, hopes to meet the art appreciation needs of a wide audience, further inspire creativity and the desire to contribute within the Vietnamese art community, and make a positive contribution to the development of Vietnamese culture in the new era.
