Minh Khue Food's arrowroot powder - a cool drink for summer

Minh Khai Commune (Hoai Duc District) - a land known as the land of hundreds of crafts, from handicraft products to processing agricultural products and food of all kinds, is trusted and chosen by consumers.

One of those products is tapioca starch. This food product is not only a cool drink when summer comes, but also an ingredient to prepare delicious Vietnamese dishes, considered a precious medicine to support and improve human health.

Mr. Do Danh Long, owner of Minh Khue Food agricultural products facility (Minh Khai commune, Hoai Duc district) said that his family has been producing tapioca starch since 1993. Although the product is very popular with consumers, in the early years of production, the family did not pay attention to creating a name for the product, there was no label, so the selling price was very cheap. Therefore, Mr. Long decided to create a brand for the product.

In 2017, with new directions and more knowledge learned, with the help and support of the Economic Department of Hoai Duc District (now the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hoai Duc District), Mr. Long registered a business for his family's production facility. He tested the products and created new designs for the products. Thanks to that, there were stores and branded units that accepted to be partners and purchase products.

After attending training courses on safe food production and participating in business management programs organized by the functional units of Hoai Duc district, Mr. Long's family boldly changed the product name, registered a business license, and filed an application for protection for the Minh Khue Food brand. At the same time, they registered codes and barcodes, created traceability stamps for the products, rebuilt the factory, and invested in more modern machinery and equipment...

Regarding the product design, Mr. Long's family carefully researched the style, form, and packaging method. Currently, the product has the facility's label and is packaged in three types, including PET jars, PE bags, and paper PE bags. These product lines are packaged from 300 to 1,000g. Notably, in 2021 and 2024, the Doai tapioca starch of Minh Khue Food agricultural and food facility was recognized and re-recognized to meet the 4-star OCOP product standards.

With positive changes, the cassava starch product of the Doai region of Minh Khue Food agricultural and food facility is being trusted by many companies, agents, supermarkets, mini marts and customers... Many overseas Vietnamese customers prefer to choose the cassava starch product of the Doai region of Minh Khue Food as a gift for friends and relatives.
